I was going to see it at 12:00 last night, but my 18+ cousin that is required for me to get in did not get home in time. But me and my freinds are planning on seeing it soon.

It seems to be doing well over at Rotton Tomatoes.

My local newspaper gave it a 1/5.

Screw them, they suck.

I wasn't that excited about this movie, untill I saw Samuel L. Jackson on the Daily Show with Jon Stewart and now I want to see it.

I'm more interested in how much money this particular movie will make.
Perhaps it'll wake Hollywood to the amount of pull viral marketing and internet fanboys have.
Maybe it will flop hardcore and the big ad agencies will pull away from the viral market.
Either way, I see we, the people of the interweb, as winners.

Quote from: Foxnews.com
The average big studio movie costs an average of $63.6 million to produce and another $34.4 million to market.
"SoaP" ran New Line only $36 million to make and reportedly, 10 days before opening,
it had spent only 7 percent of its $30 million
marketing budget promoting the film.

By the way, if you haven't seen this clip, check it out...

I went to the 10pm last night and I can easily say that was the most fun I have ever had the movies ever.
If you're planning to see it then make sure it's this weekend while you can see it with an awesome crowd because seriously the audience is what made the movie as great as it was. So much cheering and yelling.

What meme is relevant right now? Look, just imagine I'm riffing on that. Updating signatures is exhausting.

Stuff gets buried in the Off Topic Topic very quickly.

You posted it yesterday, and now it's like, 3 pages ago.

So I just got back from seeing this movie, and it was exactly what I expected: An utter piece of crap, that would be better off in my ass than in theaters. But I expected that. Throughout all the hype, I was like "Man, I LOVE being excited about a terrible movie!" So I went to see it, and it was just that: Terrible. So it met all expectations, therefore I could reccomend it to someone who also knows it'll be terrible.

It's good for some laughs, too, though a lot of times it's unintentionally funny. And the whole thing where they reshot some sections to add more sexual content and more violence really detracted from the movie. They should've added the barf-bag jumping snake and Sam's quote, and left it at that. You'll see what I mean within 5 minutes after the snakes are let loose. The dialogue is cheesie and often plain ol' sucky, the acting actually could've been a lot worse, and it doesn't make an effort to avoid cliches. And we never get a true resolution to the story.

Basically, if you're expecting dung, you don't mind your IQ falling a few points, you can have fun making fun of a movie, and you want to prove that the internet is a really good way to get the word out on upcoming releases (imagine Hollywood protecting its grass-roots advertising on the Net Neutrality battlefield), see this movie. If you go to the movies expecting a little slice of brilliance, or you have unadjustable standards that you set for every movie you see and can't POSSIBLY set them lower so you can enjoy Snakes on a Plane, then stay away.

If he says it sucks, that's because he took it too seriously. It's SUPPOSED to suck.
