I'll probably just get that version then. Since I don't care about Pokemon.

Maybe he just wants to give Nintendo money?
Sam is basically right, he's just cranky.

Haha, Pokémon *is* for casuals. That's how they can get away with making the same game every two years for almost two decades.
Other corroborating evidence is that around here there are some ads for Sun and Moon on the sides of busses and the review quote they went with was "The Perfect Follow-Up to Pokémon Go!"
Sam is basically right, he's just cranky.

Its comes out on the 23 and it's out now in the US

Why can't we have the same release date?

It's Nintendo of America's fault somehow.

Or maybe NISA.
Not a winner anymore.

Because it is a mechanically-sound game that is fun, which are more or less the only things I care about with any game. And it offers what amounts to classic jrpg gameplay, something I really like.

I just don't have the same attachment to Pokemon video games that a lot of you have. Played Red and Blue and Yellow and they were fun and then I played other games that left more of a mark. Pokemon cards? Different story. But as a gamer, Pokemon games offer reliable fun (which in and of itself is a rare commodity) but otherwise nothing super duper amazing or groundbreaking. Gamer before Pokemon fan, I guess.

As a side-note, I also want to try Yo-Kai Watch. Looks neat!

They monkeyed around with the power levels on the pokemon in Go.  Also, extra xp and stardust for thanksgiving.

People that have Sun/Moon, did any of you choose something other than the owl for your starter?
Probably not a Goat, either.

This stat update happened while I was with a friend earlier. He started freaking out because he is level 25 and was super scared that his account would be banned because his CPs went through the roof. One of his Rhydons added 1,000 to its CP to push it up to something around 2,600.

It's interesting, the Vaporeon I have camped out at a gym is still showing its old stats there, but is about 200 higher in my inventory.  I guess the old stats stay in effect until they get kicked out of a gym.
Probably not a Goat, either.

I haven't gotten it yet, but that's my plan. Originally I was getting Litten but Rowlet's final evolution is so cool.
