if you don't care about pokemon, why would you buy it at all? 
Because it is a mechanically-sound game that is fun, which are more or less the only things I care about with
any game. And it offers what amounts to classic jrpg gameplay, something I really like.
I just don't have the same attachment to Pokemon video games that a lot of you have. Played Red and Blue and Yellow and they were fun and then I played other games that left more of a mark. Pokemon cards? Different story. But as a gamer, Pokemon games offer reliable fun (which in and of itself is a rare commodity) but otherwise nothing super duper amazing or groundbreaking. Gamer before Pokemon fan, I guess.
As a side-note, I also want to try Yo-Kai Watch. Looks neat!
