I liked the old, simple designs.

Edit: Actually I think generations 3-4 were the best ones. I just think gen 5 is the first time the quality has went down instead of up.

I think every generation is amazing.

Trash bag, ice cream cone, mummy Cyclops, crow with a hat, pokeball come to life,  ****s classic
No, no, he did. In the everything else section, at least. Officially, this makes him king.

every generation of pokemon has its fair share of trashy character designs.

although yes, generation 5 is by far the worst. literally they have one that is a trash bag, a literal trash bag.

Honestly I think that is my biggest problem with newer generations. As go the starters, so goes their entire generation. I feel like generally the trio of starters has never been anywhere close to as good as the first three. Maybe it's nostalgia or more likely it is the ass-design. The newer starters really suck and I don't care which one I get which then flavors the rest of the experience. Gen I and Gen II had good starters. But even gen II is kinda goofy.

Torchic is okay.

Black and white actually made me interested in the games again, seems a shame they didn't try and continue instead of going back to unrelated games

Welp. Started playing W2 yesterday, finished the main storyline already. Woopidoo. Obviously you could spend as much time as you want on it, but didn't feel like it.

Gen 3 was the best, guys. I will forever remember hatching eggs in that volcanic area, imagining it will somehow help. ...pretty sure it had no effect. But good times. Good times, guys. That volcano with the falling ash was the best. I liked clearing up the ashes from the grass, leaving green patches behind.

And there were the little secret bases, too. I loved decorating them. And growing berries. I had the greatest berry collection.

No idea what happened in gen 4... Haven't managed to open any of my save files. But I know I have played it, and I think I liked it at the time. And the starters weren't as bad as I remembered. I liked Torterra... but dudes, I have no idea what happened in that game, and it kinda bothers me. But it had the return of the day/night cycle, which was nice, I guess. And I think I still enjoyed hatching some eggs.

But you know, at the time I had all the time in the world to spend collecting every single pokemon, and hatching countless of eggs... Now I don't. So that kinda changes everything. Maybe I would've enjoyed gen 5 more if I didn't feel like I had to speed through it. When gen 3 came out, I was like, 12 years old. Great age to waste your time. Gen 4, I was around 16 years old, and had kinda already started thinking I have more important things to do, like drawing and studying.

Being 12 years old was the best.

Black and white actually made me interested in the games again, seems a shame they didn't try and continue instead of going back to unrelated games

What do you mean? I haven't played X/Y yet.

I really really loved Gold/Silver. I owned a copy of Gold and 2 copies of Silver and made good use of that duplication glitch. I looooooved Lugia and had like 3 boxes of just cloned Lugias which I would use to beat the Elite Four again and again. Hall of Fame was just hundreds of all-Lugia parties.

I was 8.
