May as well post the E3 Pokemon news, too.

I really enjoy details connecting to the real world like this:

Yungoos is not a Pokémon that is native to the Alola region. It was brought to the region to help deal with the explosive population of a certain other Pokémon, and now Yungoos are commonly seen around the Alola region.

The mongoose was introduced to Hawaii in the mid-19th century in an attempt to control the large rat population in the sugar cane fields. However, since then, the mongoose population has grown to large numbers without controlling the nocturnal rat population and has greatly diminished the population of ground nesting birds.[1]

Probably not a Goat, either.

References to pokemon hunting other pokemon goes back to the first games.  The pokedex entry for Pidgeot from red/blue:

Quote
When hunting, it skims the surface of water at high speed to pick off unwary prey such as Magikarp.

But when humans enslave them they just faint when a pidgeot skewers them with its talons. Gotcha.

You fed your pidgeot a rice ball doughnut before the battle so it isn't hungry anymore and is holding back.
Probably not a Goat, either.

It pains me to not live in the pokemon universe. If there was ever a fictional universe, that one would be pretty ****ing great.
No, no, he did. In the everything else section, at least. Officially, this makes him king.

Agreed. The worst thing that seems to happen is some "mobsters" break into your science lab and challenge you to a poke-battle.

Also we won't kill your family, we'll hold them hostages in relative comfort and let them keep their pokemon, we're civilised people.
