Bull. Anyone who separates there favorite Pokemon by Gen is an idiot. I personally have a mix of faves. Munchlax and Pimpchilla being some later gens.

Oh, And look what I have.

Most people who do that are just saying which gen contains the most of their favorites.
For instance, out of my 11 favorite Pokemon, 7 are from Gen 3.

I personally am incredibly disappointed that the fire starter is another fire/fighting type, and the other two starts didn't get any extra typing whatsoever.

I want my STABs damnit.

Look at it this way Eagle, for the most part if you duel type a pokemon you swap some weaknesses for others or add additional ones on. However in most cases the poke's stats will cover for their weaknesses. Example= Infernape is a fire/fighting type with 2x weaknesses to flying, water, psychic and ground. But it can learn thunder punch, stone edge, vaccum wave and various other moves to cover its weaknesses. On top of that it has high attack, special attack and speed making it a decent sweeper with the many possible move sets you can create.

Sure I guess the other starters could have been made duel types but on their own the weaknesses they have aren't too hard to get around. That and from what I've seen both the water and grass starters have decent possible level up moves.

Also in the case of STAB's, yeah they're great but they're not everything.

He's no heretic.

If anything, I'm the heretic, because my favorite game in the series is Emerald. Also, I actually liked Trozei.

STABs are only not everything if its a bad offensive type like Steel or Poison, heretic.

Poison types suck, Steel types are right behind them, what makes up for it are their minimal weaknesses. And depending on its type combination its general weaknesses can almost be eliminated altogether. Drapion and Skuntank are good examples, along with Scizor and Forretress.

Pfft heritic, really?

What did I just say? STABs can only be ignored if the dual type is steel or poison, the crappiest offensive types known to man.

Defensive typing however, oohhh, momma.

Wait, nevermind.

Don't know why, but Blissey comes to mind >__> even though she more so has an HP advantage rather then defense... god she's hard to kill.

I don't know what you're upset about. Don't buy the game then Flisch. Also, the first 150 were not the best. Ponyta -> Rapidash? All they did was make it bigger and add a horn. Magnemite -> Magneton? Oh, hey, lets just stick 3 of the exact same pokemon together and call it an evolution. Grimer -> Muk? Again, all they did was make it bigger. There are and always have been lazy pokemon, get off the bitter train.

Also, if you're going to comment on the turtle -> godzillamon, Charmeleon -> Charizard. He turns into a relatively small lizard to a damn dragon. Dragonair -> Dragonite turns from a snake to a freaking dragon. How are those any more or less preposterous then the turtle?
They didn't look like digimon. :|

Also, I give you that with Grimer and Muk... I guess those really are the laziest evolution, but I disagree with everything else you said. >:(
There is, of course, a difference between having a laugh with someone, and having a laugh at their expense

That's a Scotsman fallacy and you know it. What determines what a Digimon "looks like" anyway?
