Because nobody does, it's just a culture craze in America. Also, what does that have to do with pokémon?
No way dude, you're trolling me.

Also, that is typical poke-snobbery from someone who never played ruby/sapphire, which were the best games of the series.

Really? I've always considered them the worst. And I've played them all.

I've always found them to be the second-best, with only gold/silver being better. That's probably only because the first game system I bought was a gameboy color, and the first game that I played was the Crystal version that came packaged with it. I found Ruby/Sapphire to be more fun than Blue/Red, though, but as I was trying to point out, it's all subjective.

Well yeah... Admittedly Blue/Red was only fun because it was the first, and new, but Ruby/Sapphire only really took away from Gold/Silver... I mean, it had a nice map but it was a bit too small. When Pearl/Diamond came out, they just added to Ruby/Sapphire again, bringing back a lot of the stuff from Gold/Silver.

Ruby, Sapphire, and Emerald had too much ocean surfing. :U

You'll never know why.

Hard to find cooler legendaries than those in Ruby/Sapphire, though.

True.

Edit:
Unholy gods. The amount of dragon types that got added. Dark/Dragon, Dragon/Ice, Dragon/Electric, Dragon/Fire, and even pure Dragon types! @_@

That is simlutaneously the worst and best thing I have ever seen in my life.

It might be the first movie where I go to see it ironically.

It's going to be like Dragon Ball: Evolution.
