I don't get why you are making such a big deal about catching Abra.
It's not like it's hard to just throw a Pokeball each time you encounter it, you usually get it on your 4-5th try.
If you stop and think about it, Your life's longer as an old guy than a kid. Scary o.o

Have you tried putting some abra chow in a noose and then tying the noose to a springy sapling?
Sam is basically right, he's just cranky.

Don't worry, it teleported away before it hit the ground.
Probably not a Goat, either.

But Ink, teleportation works much in the same way as portals. If an object teleports while falling at a great velocity, it will only reappear with it's same velocity intact. Thus, Abra will still make impact, no matter where it goes.

Unless it teleports so it reappears travelling up again then teleports again which it stops for the brief moment as it reach the height of its arc.

This site blocks out the word Soft Water for no good reason. Oh wait. Goddammit, forum!

I dunno, even teleporting into water the Abra would still have the same momentum and the water would still be providing the same resistance.
