You need to get all 16 badges first, he will then stand outside of the Power plant.
If you stop and think about it, Your life's longer as an old guy than a kid. Scary o.o

Crazy question here: I happen to have a Wii, and chances are very good that I'll end up inheriting my cousin's old DS. Would it be possible, using something like My Pokemon Ranch, to trade pokemon between different cartridges instead of doing it on two DS's? Like, I drop off my Turtwig from one game onto the Wii, then plug in the other other into the DS and withdraw it from there?

I ask, because I just might get serious about completing a Pokedex and, well, after my aforementioned cousin, no one I know owns anything Nintendo.  :-\

It'll probably be a while, though. Several months at the very least. I was just checking to make sure before I got my hopes up too high.

The only games I currently have are on my (again, second-hand) Gameboy Advance. You know, third generation.

Another question, now that we have HG/SS, do you think Game freak is going to make this a regular thing? Like, will we see LandRuby and OceanSapphire come out in the 5th Black/White Gen?

I don't see why not. I mean, in what--ten years?-- we'll probably be seeing PinkPearl and BlueDiamond.
