Did you end up getting your Haunter/Graveler evolved Cobra? I'm fairly certain my stupid router's firewalling part of the Nintendo Wi-Fi. I can't trade/battle over Wi-Fi, nor play SSBB (I can however play Mario Kart Wii over the 'net).
I've spent most of the day screwing about with my router and network trying to fix problems like this. Any of you guys have any ideas for fixing this? Nintendo Support's 86420 page is pretty useless.

Lush - They never announce anything on that show. Seriously. Before D/P and HG/SS
people used to watch every one and kept getting disappointed.

Nothig was in the most recent one last week and I don't think it's a weekly show.

Besides, the news will probably be up on serebii a minute after it's announced.
No way dude, you're trolling me.

DS and DS Lite can only handle WEP encryption so that's usually the problem people have when they can't connect to their router, or their router is not compatible but there's like 4-5 models out there that can't handle it.

All routers look a little different so this step-by-step guide might not help at all, I just took the most common layout for routers.

Step 1: Log on to your router
http://192.168.1.1/ (this is usually the address)

Step 2: Security
Now enter the "Security"(step 3A) or "Wireless" (Step 3B). Depending on your router it could differ.

Step 3A: Security(again)
Here there should be a wireless security option or something similar. Press that!

Step 3B: Wireless
Enter the Wireless Security option.

Step 4: WEP
Now there should be either a drop down menu or a list of different "security modes". Like WEP, WAP, WAP1, WAP2 etc.
If you got a Nintendo DS or Lite you should change it to "WEP". If you got a DSi or DSi XL WAP is enough. Or you could just disable it.

Step 5: Save
Save changes and try if it works.
Note: that WEP is an old encryption standard and isn't that good for security so when you're done playing online with your DS I suggest you change it back to what it previously was. Same goes if you Disabled it*duh*.

Hope this helps!

I already had WEP on, I can do Mystery Gift, Wi-Fi plaza, etc. I can't do anything requiring a link between two people, eg. trading. I'd have tried port forwarding, but I'm not sure what to forward or where to forward them to. My firewall works great except for Wi-Fi.

Hey, you know what Lush? Those kind of random and irrelevant outbursts are the reason most people get banned. We believe in "intelligent" game discussion. M'kay? :)

Eh, that wasn't a threat so much as a warning.

There is a difference i swear.
No, no, he did. In the everything else section, at least. Officially, this makes him king.

Not really a threat, but people are sensitive about it. I didn't mean to scare you though, so I apologize.

The last thing I don't want to happen is you leaving because we threatened you.
