I don't really think there is a reason to make move sets right now. What if voters choose another starter? It will just be a waste.

Starting city:

No where near done, but its a start. Its like a crossroads in the center of the region.

Looks like a good start, I like where this is going. Any plans for the general layout of the region?

I like that idea of it being a crossroads.

Also I vote for Psyt for the Grass/Psychic starter(if we use it that is).

You'll never know why.

Cool map. I assume the trainers are always coming and going? I say we start in one of the town's inns.

Probably a bit late for now but I was always interested in making the starters all be duel type having 2 of the 3 types. So Fire/Water (some kind of Steam/Boiling water pokemon), Water/Grass (Seaweed pokemon), Grass/Fire (Not sure maybe a fly trap like thing with multiple fire beathing head jaw flow things what ever hey would be called).

A firebreathing Mahogany tree!

Edit: Wouldn't it be better to put this project in a separate thread?

Guys, the fire starter could be based on a Will 'o the Wisp. A phantom type thing that hangs out at the sides of roads at nights and lures travellers to their demises with a light.
No way dude, you're trolling me.

Hey I’ve been thinking about making a Pokemon game down in the storytelling and rping board. My other game is on standby right now. It would be spirited (with premade and custom sprites) and some hand-drawn pictures.

I’m telling you guys because it’s going to be in a new region with new pokemon, and I need some other pokefans to help me with ideas. Like starter ideas, other wild pokemon, maybe a new type, and some basic region layout (more islands, mostly desert, etc).

And maybe you don’t start out in the usual small town and get your 1st pokemon from a professor. You could live in the big city and rescue your starter from the streets.  I don’t want this to be the normal plot with the predictable storyline.

I’ve just always wanted to play a pokemon game how I wanted it to be. Its going to be a open ended/sandbox game. You can join with team rocket if you wanted to, make your own team, be a professor, an archaeologist, a gym leader, whatever.

I just kinda jumbled this post together but this could be fun. Who wants to help out?

I used to make pokemon sprites from scratch, as well as maps, stopped a few years ago (I even got started on a pokemon game for PC but stopped), I'm getting nostalgic so I could map/sprite if you need me.

Gonna try and get my hands on some of my old work to show you guys.

Thats awesome Telsa. Looks good and pokemony. And I'd love to see your work Darkdragon.

And I don't know if this needs a seperate thread. It is kinda of cluttering the Pokemon thread, but this is all pokemon related stuff.

Let's get the starters picked. I don't mind either way for the fire type, but octopus/squid water starting seems weird to me.

(I thought I already posted this, but:)

Cool map, Tesla. Also, I'll get started on the move table for the other two, if that's okay.

You can if you really want to.

Heres an update on the city:

Do you mind if I dont put the border (see Jubilife City) around the paths? And I was thinking the character could start in the apartments in the bottom left.
