Here I was hoping they were already working on a new game with 748 pokémon or something :P

They always have to make a third sequel.

Red/Blue has Yellow, Gold/Silver has Crystal, Ruby/Sapphire has Emerald.

And as in the case with Emerald, Fire Red and Leaf Green was released thereafter. They may just make a G/S remake after Platinum is out.

They said they won't make G/S update.

Ever.

Where did you read that? Are they just saying they have no plans to?

I'm not saying they will but may make one.

You mean, like a game where you actually play as an adult and have a more "realistic" storyline? :D

Pure genius. Good I wish that those Japanese executives would break away from the whole child anime feel of the game. Or at least make a more mature version of the game. Its such a good concept, I just wish it wasn't only being applied for the enjoyment of small children.

"Go on up, you baldhead!" 24 He turned around, looked at them and called down a curse on them in the name of the LORD. Then two bears came out of the woods and mauled forty-two of the youth.

I don't see why a child version and an adult version couldn't coexist, when I got into Pokémon I was about 11 or 12, I watched the anime, played the games, etc but as I grew older I noticed that while being someone who likes anime is ok, being someone who likes to play pokémon games (I stopped watching the anime because it was so repetitive) is not accepted in most of the european (and american?) society, so if you're like me who's turning 20 soon and have to hide from everyone what games you play not because they are nasty/naughty games but because they could be considered kid games... it feels bad :P

Take out storyline, in the end nobody cares.

Here's all the storyline (and some additions) we need:
You wanted to be a trainer, your uncle is the professor tree, he gives you a Pokédex and all that other mess at the beginning. And that's it. Of course your mother stands next to the table at home waiting to heal your pokémon.

You will be able to pick How you look, and some newbie clothes, with better clothing later. These do nothing, but are used for how you look in the friends list thing it will have.

You can save up to $999,999,999 and there will be awesome stuff to buy, including an extremely expensive PC upgrade that lets you burn CDs (make TMs.) from any move of any Pokémon in your team.

There will be either items you can buy to lower the level of a pokémon, or you can choose to drop level to 50 in player battles. I opt for the latter.

As for the Team whatever people trying to take over the world by controlling a pokémon the N00B way (not using a Master Ball, even though you find it in their base.)
There will either be none, or it will be a loosely mission based campaign system or something like that, with more missions unlocking as you beat gyms. or both or something weird like that.
After all, each land already has a superultrahypermaster trainer (us), and there are the leagues, so there shouldn't be much chance for Team Wimps to take root. Which is of course where the missions could come into play. As totally optional stuff.

All lands will be available after you beat the league, and all Badges can be collected. Including the Orange Island minigame zone/league/whatever that mess was.

I have already stated my other opinions on a better pokémon game in previous posts.

I like the idea of adding the extra lands simply because it shores up that annoying problem of getting your team too level 100. With all that space I imagine that the final 4 equivalent would be around level 100.
The beatings will continue until morale improves
I no i cannt spel

Oh did I forget to say the missions would be optional? Well.... Hmm, I MUST have been sleepy again.. lol.

Pokémon needs:

More Boxes.
There needs to be a lot more boxes. We need to be able to have several of each pokemon.
I have basically nearly ran out of space, and can't ditch my Unown, I'll need them later.

Type Fillout.
There needs to be, when fully evolved, atleast 6 pure of every type, and of every two-types. Someone do the math, I don't want to.. LoL.
Of course that won't happen any time soon, but still..

Battle Options.
Besides being able to fight at level 50 with players using pokémon levels 50-100. It would be nice to have ranking based battles an option, like that whole tier thing you guys use. And of course the option to double HP (or cut damage in half..), it would make stat moves WAY more valuable.

Unlikely to ever ever ever ever ever ever happen:

Hybrid Pokémon center:
You bring two Pokémon, pay a fee or run around for an egg or whatever makes sense.. And you get a hybrid Pokémon. Of course this would mean a staggering variety of unique Pokémon, so 2D sprites would take a lot of work. It would have to be seperate from the normal daycare. For egg moves reasons.
Assuming the game stays drawn Sprites:
Egg hybrid: Only breedable matches can be a hybrid, this can be done. Easy
Any hybrid: Takes so many sprites the game would probably be it's own console/portable gaming device. Not easy.

OR!!

Will Wright and the Pokémon people (Game Freak.. Right?) Join forces to create the ultimate:

Pokémon: Spore Brown, and Pokémon: Spore Teal.
Or just Pokémon: Spore. So a single cartridge/whatever can be the best selling game in the history of the World...

Yeah, Pokemon sucks.

Anyway, I need avice as always.

I have trained the following Kanghaskan;

252 Attack/ 252 HP/ 4 Speed (Scrappy)
- Focus Punch
- Sucker Punch
- Fake Out
- ??????

Now, my strategy is to lead with it, and open with a Fake Out. Then, follow up with a Sucker Punch if I prediuct it'll finish thier first Pokemon. If they're obviously going to switch, I'll use Focus Punch. If I use Sucker Punch, my friends generally react my avoiding attcking and getting free stat boosts from watching someone successvley use Sucker Punch; I'll use Focus Punch at this point for a possible suprise kill. Now, a fourth move and an Item.

I considered Focus Sash, but Kanghaskhan's HP and sturdy defences make that pointless. Choice Band is out of the question, and it's HP again makes Life Orb a little pointless. Advice?

The Fourth Move could be a variety of things. I could end my tactical play with an Outrage, or hold a Salac Berry and use Reversal and hope I can aim for a later-on Reversal Sweep. (I avoided Speed Evs on the basis that speed doesn't matter to Focus Punch/Sucker Punch/Fake Out) Failing that, I can simply opt for Return as an everyday STAB attack. I'm avoiding Substitute because it'll give away my intentions. (Although it may lure Ghosts into Focus Punch.)

Secondly, having trained my Lickilicky (Who is fantastic) I'm on the luckout for another Wall-ish Pokemon, and the equally-retarded Slowking has caught my eyes. Is Slowking capable of OU play as a special wall, or do his weaknesses doom him? (Well, a mix of pokemon from all tiers.)

Thirdly, does the Battle Tower cheat? (Aside from the usual Double Team Spam and holding illegal items.)

Because I was going through with a team of Venusaur/Lickilicky/Honchkrow, and leading with Venusaur, whon would Leech Seed and Sleep the opponents lead, and then I'd switch in Lickilicky, set up with Curse, and defeat thier team with Gyro Ball/Power Whip. If the opponent was weak to grass or poison, I'd hit with Sludge Bomb or Leaf Storm for a kill with Venusaur.Honckrow acted as insurance against strong special threats like Alakazam or Gengar that could mess up Venusaur or Lickilicky.

I was doing this, and when my Pokemon became confused, they would hit themselves an insane amount of times. Once, Lickilicky managed to hit himself 9 times in a row with Confusion, and be paralysed about a similar amount of times (The enemy died from Leech Seed though, so it was fine.) Am I having horrendous luck, or does the game actually cheat to win? These experiences only seem to happen after around 30-40 wins.
