At lest we don't kill our own players for scoring on him self  :-\

That post didn't make any sense at all.

In Cambodia a player was shot for scoring an own goal.

Seriously guys, we all know who will win.

How does it work?

There is a group stage before the knockout tournament. Each group of four plays matches against other members of their group and then the two with the highest number of points at the end go through to the knockout stages.

Edit: this topic needs to be merged with the one in "Everything Else".

England are fooling themselves if they think they can win with the dreadful way they have been playing :)

Yeah, I'm worried about Sancho from Trinidad and Tobago since he inadvertently scored on his own team. Hopefully, nothing will occur to him, but you never know when it comes to football fans.

They tied with Sweden today, ensuring their chance. :) Of course, my team, the Germans, will win because they rule.

No-one can stop Trinidad and Tobago. Everybody, and I mean everybody wants them to win.

Well, they've been stopped dead in their tracks by Paraquay by 0-2. Even if they won the match, they wouldn't have moved on due to England's tie with Sweden.

It's a game of football. No human brain could comprehend the rules of football. If you ever attempt to learn the "offside" rule, be it not on my hands that your brain explodes.

God, I despise the offside rule.

As a goalkeeper, I love it. Try playing a few games without linesmen - I'll tell you, it isn't much fun.

Should be their responsibility to maintain a certain from the goal and the ball, and if they cannot maintain it, they should pay for it.

I didn't quite understand that - do you mean it's the goalkeeper's responsibility to ensure that his defence doesn't get caught out? Well, I do agree with you in part, but that doesn't resolve the problem of goal-hanging - which is the entire reason for the existance of the offside rule.

Owen was injured. By the end of this, we will have no players left.
