Hydro @ E3 - My Creature Screenshot
« on: June 08, 2006, 03:03:40 pm »
Yay! The day has come where Caryl Shaw sent me my screenshot of the creature i made. Here is what she said in her e-mail to me.

Quote
Hey there -

I was just getting ready to send these out to all of you guys (the
community folks who visited the room and made creatures).

I could only get the non-broken one to open up properly once I get back
to the office, so I've only included that one.

Great to meet you as well.

-caryl

I guess this means no Naucean picture. BUT i do have a picture of the Woolly Grunterium. Note this was done extremely fast because i already used up alot of my time on the Naucean and went over the allowed time. Thus it sortta resembles the Woolly. here is the concept drawing and then the real picture.

All in all i had a great time there and i am so glad i can show you guys this. I guessyou could say this is the firest Gaming Steve Forum member creature :D Thanks so much Caryl, Will, Tiffany and of course the whole community who helped get me to E3!  :D :D

That is a huge picture, it has to be among the most detailed and hi res I have ever seen!

EDIT:Could you give a step by step walkthrough of what you remember doing to create that creature?

I take it that fur texturing isn't done yet?
cool! Looks way off compared to the drawing. :P
But I bet that given more time and experimenting, you could figure out the perfect parts/size/morph channel combos.

EDIT: Not to mention all parts aren't yet ready.

The feet look the wrong way round.
But I guess you were going off memory, yeah?
Still cool. World first right here!

I should of figured that, but I still have doubts whether the editor is flexible enough to perfect that look.

That creature is different enough that Hydro should rename it. I submit Fat-lipped Nipple Tail. ;D

Combine it into one word, Fatlipnippletail.

Try to say that 3 times fast.

Scaly Short-nosed Gruntherum perhaps.
Sam is basically right, he's just cranky.

Cool. Maybe some day in their free time, one of the Spore devs will create a Naucean for ya, Hydro. Anyway, neat creature. Those silly eyes are starting to bug me out now though.  :P

I second that, those eyes are horrid and ugly. I feel like making a thread for everyone to petition Maxis to change them or get rid of it.
