Firefox is by far the best to use, I only use IE at work, because its what is loaded on the work computers.
Tabbed browsing is the best thing to happen to surfing the net.

Take a guess! :P

Nowadays the only thing I use IE for is... Windows Update. Well, no, not even that, since nowadays Windows can tell you when there're updates, download them, and install them for you without using IE at all.

I only use IE for....errr.......nothing actually :D
I use Opera 8.0 (actually bought it for 8 € :P), because:
1. It IS the fastest Browser on Earth: http://www.howtocreate.co.uk/browserSpeed.html
2. Everything Firefox (or some extension) does, Opera did a long time ago (tabbed browsing, mouse gestures.....)
3. The Mail/RSS client
4. Firefox is mainstream and mainstream suxXx0rzzzz ;) (OK, forget about number 4 :D)

I love the minimalistic setup I use: http://mitglied.lycos.de/sturekartreides/Opera.jpg

I use Firefox at all times.  I refuse to blow up my computer with SP2 and thus IE is about as secure as a serial killer in a fenced-in yard.  Firefox is great because it's halfway between mainstream and archaic.  IE is the spyware junkie's browser of choice.... I see people come in every day with a computer infested with spyware.  They ALL use IE.  I tell them to download Mozilla and only use IE for those sites that don't work with Firefox (such as banking sites, etc.).  They never have to come back for spyware issues.

It's worth the time to figure Firefox out as opposed to downloading/buying a hundred other security programs for you computer.  Then again, if you don't browse pr0n or surf for mp3's, even IE is passable.

Opera.
I'm doing the beta, haven't paid yet. I like it better than IE. I only use IE to open some sites Opera can't read (Opera doesn't accept ActiveX) and have a nice little button that automatically launches IE to whatever page I'm viewing. Very nice indeed. ;)

Awsome, how do you get that button?

I use Opera at home and Firefox at work because Opera does not work here.  I like them both but do find Opera to be faster, maybe some day I will actually buy it.

You can go here (http://my.opera.com/forums/showthread.php?s=9682d5449ac8ca5ab1223be70bc9ea13&threadid=81920&highlight=InIE+button) and look at the 8th post. You can drag the InIE button onto your toolbar, but if you click on it, you should be able to add it to your 'My buttons' section, to use whenever you want (if you just click and drag, you won't be able to call it up again if you delete or decide to move it around).

The latest Firefox update 1.0.4 crashes randomly!?

Now I can only see some sites in IE.

By the way, you can never delete any of the extensions/plugins.  This sucks.

Now I can only see some sites in IE.

By the way, you can never delete any of the extensions/plugins.  This sucks.

I'm using 1.0.4 and have been for weeks now. I haven't had any crashes. I haven't visited any sites that I can't see in Firefox.

I did have one problem, however. A while back, flashblock asked me to let it update itself. Since I'm a nice guy and all that, I said "Sure, go ahead." Of course Flashblock's updater promptly screwed up and hid Flashblock. I went to the flashblock site, where they had written in semi-big text that you shouldn't let it auto-update. Of course you'd never SEE that text when Firefox asks if you want to let flashblock auto-update. You'd think they could at least make the installer cancel installing if it's already installed. Anyways, apparently you have to uninstall it (And apparently it doesn't like to uninstall properly too), and then install the new version, if you want to update it.

Anyways, flashblock was still in the extensions, it was just hidden, so I couldn't install the new version. I tried to kill it so I could install the new version, but every time it just FUBARed Firefox so it wouldn't even START anymore. Eventually I tried uninstalling and reinstalling Firefox. Well, that didn't work either. Finally I just removed the entire Firefox extensions folder and made a new empty one. Had to reinstall all my extensions, of course, but at least it worked again, and I was even able to install the new version of flashblock. Haven't had any trouble since then.

Now, don't take this as me being pissed at Firefox. I'm not. If anything, I'm pissed at whoever made Flashblock. But it's so incredibly useful that I'm using it anyways.

Let's see, what extensions do I have installed now...
Flashblock 1.3.1, Adblock v.5 d2 * nightly 39, EditCSS 0.3.1, Web Developer 0.9.3, BugMeNot 0.6.2, Add N Edit Cookies 0.2.0.4.

And I'm using the "Abstract PC" theme.

Yeah. If I'm remembering right, anyways. In case anyone's confused because they have a Mac or something, it was Firefox's extensions folder, not an OS extensions folder. It's here: c:\documents and settings\MyUserName\application data\mozilla\firefox\Profiles\theWeirdProfileFolderName.default\extensions

I might have had to reinstall Firefox after removing the folder, I don't remember.

No Prob. I had a friend introduce me to that forum page. The only thing was, he couldn't stop talking about how great Opera is, like a salesman. He and I agreed that he really should get paid commission. ;)
