Haha.. Thunderdome for Spore!  :D

I am probably thinking of the wrong dome but...

Two beasts enter! One beast leaves!

Shortly after, the other beast leaves after being declared the winner!
Not a winner anymore.

"The looser gets his homeworld blown up" gives that nasty plan a nice touch.

1 on 1 fights prefer associal creatures too much.

Creatures designed for such battles willl have an advantage in it anyways, no use in wasting someones homeworld in such a battle.

Maby you could have like, uber-bot as the final 'boss' to defete to be crowned champion.
Then there is an uber-bot made designed after the winner, and then the next games are held after another thousand generations, to see if any have gotten better...

Sounds like an awesome idea.

And maybe you could scatter some primitive weapons for them to use.

Just be careful they don't revolt and try to go after your homeworld.  That could be bad too.

If you want to do this, what with the destroying the losers homeworld and the weapons scattered and all that, you might need to use a money cheat or you'll proapbly risk losing all your money. I personally won't use cheats in Spore, unless I just want some $$ to do a fun lil thing like the arena. :)

Like in The Incredibles? Or did you mean 1,000 generations of the creature?

When the entertainment on Planet Spartacus revolts, all you can do is shatter the planet with megabombs and leave the asteroids as reminders of the price of disloyalty.  ;D

I would just do something similar but with groups of creatures. 3 to 5 of one species against a group of others.

The one who prevails will be able to join my galactic syndicate. If they decline my offer they will be slaughterd by the weaker species due to overkill, serves em right :P

I let em fight in groups because I want them to be able to work together and fight for their species or the syndicate.
Riligious people believe god created man, I believe man created god.
And after the Spore release you can be god ^^

I'm going to try something like that. Make a giant maze planet, put all sorts of aggresive lifeforms on it, put in a single monolith and see what happens.

I've been thinking about this idea for a while now ;D  I think I'll go find a number of planets that have no intelligent life on it and abduct every creature from them all (leaving each one uninhabited by animals).  then I'll find/build a planet suitable for an arena and dump them all there in the one spot.  They'll all be disoriented and there will be unfamiliar specias around the place and stuff like that.  After the initial shock, I'll put a monolith on the surface to see which one is the best survivor  :D

Another thing I'd like to do with this idea is to set up monoliths on a number of planets and abduct whole tribes from them all at once (like I said before)  I could then dump them all on the one planet to see how well they compete against each other.
Book, book, book

Methinks the plantlife arena would be considerably more boring.  ;)

Naw just image.  The Giant venus fly trap vs. the amazing hybiscus.... Who will survive?  Who will grow the fastest?  Winner is the last to rot!

Sounds exciting to me. ;)
