Ion-Grand Prix (EVENT)
« on: May 11, 2006, 12:20:54 pm »
==History==

After the formation of the Alliance of Free Will, the Renfold decided that now was the right chance to try and drum up interest in it, and eventually, they came up with the Ion-Grand Prix.

==Information==

The Ion-Grand Prix uses Hover Vehicles, which traverse through a variety of tracks, consisting of tunnels, sheer drops down caverns, to other dangerous feats. Due to the nature of Hover Vehicles, the racers are not bound by land, and can fly around freely (a-la an aeroplane) but there are markers to indicate the race track, flying over these markers for over 20 seconds will disqualify that racer.

Even though it is a dangerous sport, a majority of the races end with no casualties, mainly due to the skill of the pilots and the fact that most of the Hover vehicles have safety equipment onboard.

==Race Tracks==

==Current Contestants==

Vehicle Name : Colbat Tundra
Pilot Name : Karc Maloi
Pilot Race : Renfoldan
Vehicle Speed Grade : B
Vehicle Acceleration Grade : D
Vehicle Handling Grade : B
Vehicle Weight (Tonnes) : 10

Background information on Pilot:

Karc Maloi was born on a remote Colony on the homeplanet of the Renfoldan, he joined the academy there and studied Languages and Information Technology, before signing up for the millitary because of a civil war in progress.
After 5 years, Karc left the Millitary and trained to become a Race Pilot, and after 3 years, he is finally prepared for the first inter-race Grand Prix.

He is currently celebrating his 19th Birthday (22 Earth years).

Vehicle Name : Racecraft-1
Pilot Name : Pilot-1
Pilot Race : ViS
Vehicle Speed Grade : C
Vehicle Acceleration Grade : B
Vehicle Handling Grade : C
Vehicle Weight (Tonnes) : 20

Background information on Pilot: The ViS Ion-Grand Prix project was started by the new ViS leader as a show of goodwill and a personal challenge. the craft was designed to his specifications... and so was the pilot. Pilot-1 was based on the V-man modified ViS genome but modified for increased reactions, risk taking and charisma while sociopathic tendencies and autonomy were toned down.

Pilot-1 is predicted to be the clean-cut goodguy type of the competition due to the ViS devotion to rules and regulations.

Further Vehicle information: Racecraft-1 combines the engineering efficiency of the ViS with the unique style of their new leader. Powered by a prototype micro-ZP reactor and equipped with the standard Ion engines specified by the race organisers Racecraft-1 has finely balanced top speed, acceleration and handling although its weight can lead to prblems in reducing momentum making it a poor performer on tracks with lots of tightly spaced bends.

That's entirely the reason why, they want to introduce the alliance to them, of course there are Grell protecting the stadium, incase of Overdeity Slave Attacks.

You can also make Tracks for it on your planets, star systems, etc...

Sounds nice to me, after advancing a little in other adventures I will defiantly take a part of this.

Also I would first like to see other people's vehicles to get the idea better.

Dont worry, I'm working on a track.

Is this going to be like the actual F-zero idea, with different tracks on different planets and on space stations and so on?

Exactly, I'm not too sure on what the system will be like, most likely free-style Role Playing or something, I really wanna see a Kazea and ViS track, mainly ViS because of their mindset's the tracks would just be possible to finish or something, if they work hard on it, otherwise it'll be a boring circle shape O.o.
