Actually no. I hadn't heard that news. I've been looking around at all these gaming sites...still not seeing that confirmed release quarter for X-Box Next. I honestly have absolute doubt that its coming this year. Maybe next year or the one after that.

Oh yeah: Link to press release?

Well think about it. PS3 is coming out I think (IGN) said early December and Microsoft have already released Xbox Nexts specs Source(Gamespy). Most of the games that are coming out with Xbox Next on all their sites they say and look done if not near. So I really doubt Microsoft is going to let the Playstation people get all the Christmas Tree money from Grandpa and Grandma.

Can I have some links? To the PS3 release announcement and all the games being developed for X-Box Next?

I'll get you the list of the games tomorrow. I'm sick and I just took some sleeping pills which work very well on me. I was a little off  on PS3 coming out but I knew about the Xbox Next. http://www.gamespot.com/news/2004/07/12/news_6102332.html

Am I the only one who found Elder Scrolls too opened ended and as such not appealing?

Well Morrowind was so open ended you could just wander off and die randomly. Also: Because of them focusing way too much on the open endedness, the story was paper thin.

That's what I said at the beginning of this thread.

X-Box Next and Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion are not coming out late this year. Be realistic people. They announced some specs for X-Box Next and almost no games have been announced to be in development. They've already stated that Elder Scrolls IV isn't even anywhere near to completion in its development cycle.

Technically, TES IV is complete in the sense that you can play it and do stuff. They just haven't finished adding all of the characters, story, items, etc etc.

Then its not complete. :P Having the engine and environment complete doesn't make a game complete. Unless its Spore.
