Thirded.
Probably not a Goat, either.

I wish SO much that that guy was a character instead of an item.  :(

Never heard of that guy (could've sword it was a girl) either, but in my opinion I'm glad he's not a character. Looks too similar to Zero Suit Samus.

Erm... What? How?

Maybe it's understandable you guys never heard of this game. It was recently made available as an import on the VC. Sin & Punishment is one of the most highly praised games on the N64 in Japan. Just because you never played it doesn't mean you should disregard it. I'm pretty sure a lot of fans in Japan would've wanted him playable.

Yeah I mostly meant with the Beam-Sword-Cannon-Doohicky...

But if you want to talk about highly praised N64 games, why not include the girl from Perfect Darkness? I don't know how it would compare in popularity to Sin & Punishment, but it's definitely one of the best games for the Cube. She's Nintendo exclusive, and would be a totally original character.

And I'm sure this was probably mentioned already, but I really wish they'd throw in Leon instead of Snake. They're both the same kind of character, but Leon was at least on the GC. Don't even bother commenting on the impossibilities, I just had to get it out of my system. Whew... :D

Ok, I'm having mixed thoughts about Lucas. His smash looks worthy. But as for regular attacks....I don't know.

Yay! Decent alernate costumes!

Wario had better have his classic filthy overalls tucked away somewhere.

Decent is all they are.  Like I said, I like Pikachu's goggles, and the fire Mario is great.  But mostly they are just pallate swaps.  Why no Racoon Mario?  Or Raiden as an alternate for Snake, or even just his different sneaking suit from MGS3?  What about Wolf instead of this "Dark Fox"?  It also would have been a good way to get rid of the pointless clone characters, Pichu could easily work simply as a different costume for Pikachu, and would anyone really be fussed if Falco was just an alt for Fox?  Maybe, but it's at least better than him being completely left out.

I was pretty disappointed, personally.  But perhaps completely different models would have been too much.

I have to admit if Ness is out I was hoping he would be a costume change for his replacement.

Hopefully character swaps will be available, but through unlocking. Things like Pichu/Raichu, Wolf, Falco, Raiden, Ness, Young link and Knux who would be clones anyway, offered as alternate 'costumes' for characters with minor stats changes (knux = + melee, - speed, for example) but with the same 'B' powers and final smashes.

Also, according to play-testers i've read, you get Zero-suit samus by using the cannon too much (which causes her suit to explode). I would think that'd be a perfect way to get pichu and raichu into the game, maybe even iggly and wiggly, too, by having pokemon players start as their lowest evolution, then evolve to a better state (which would change their stats and make their attacks stronger) by collecting 'XP' as they fight without getting knocked off (which'd re-set them to the lowest state and remove some of their XP) and change via a taunt (find somewhere safe; taunt; flash of light > better character)

It's when she uses her Final Smash. The suit falls off.

The blog already explained the final smash is how the transformation is achieved.

Hey! I like that, not enough console games allow you to totally customize the control scheme.
