Perhaps Nintendo want to be sure there is no doubt on how to play this game as you also have the standard manual and a pamphlet both of which have the controls explained. I'll let you guy know what's on the DVD when I have gotten home from work and watched it.

Ok I'm home and watched the DVD basically is just video version of how to play the game with some advanced moves put in such as jumping off yoshi's for the extra high jumps and using the wall jump and various other abilities to cut through parts of levels and stuff. So with the Manual/Pamphlet/DVD/plus in game tutorials Nintendo must be really worries we wouldn't be able to work out how to play their game.

It's like they expected we'd never played a Mario 3D platformer.

Ok I'm a little way into this game and I'm loving it. Just as good as SMG1 at 1st I did miss the hub would but I do love the nostolgia factor of having the map and each galaxy feeling a lot more like an individual level.
