http://pc.ign.com/articles/617/617441p1.html   There is the new article on Spore, no real new info(but thats ok, thats why we have Steve ;D ) But it does mention the choice of NOT uploading creatures(which I will guess that you also don't have to download them either) and the fact that you use money to buy vehicles, buildings and stuff for the UFO....go check it out

The city stage will be like a rts so you can expect to be spending in game money to build em, if theirs not resources like in most rts.

I wonder if the following "The choice to become a predator will be completely up to the player as well" means that we can create plant eaters. Afteral it wouldn't fit to see a carebear devour a corpse, but seeing a carebear eat vegetables or fruits would fit them.

But having a Care-Bear eat meat would be a thousand times more humorous(not humourous you crazy British psychopaths).

Good news we can be both plant and meat eaters, gamespot wrote: "(you can choose to be either a carnivore or herbivore)," http://www.gamespot.com/pc/strategy/spore/preview_6125451.html

So the carebears can eat plants while hugging there beasty friends :)
