Use The Force, Luke...

Stupid suggestion, but could you eventually evolve your species to the point of being able to manipulate objects with their minds or do various other 'jedi mind tricks'?

Custom Item: LightSabre!!  ;D

I'm sure if you were skilled enough with the editor, you could edit the "spear" objects to be "Lightsaber objects". Granted they would still behave like a spear (stabing at foes rather than slashing) it would still look cool.

This would be cool. Although once you evolve brains you become sentient and lose the ability to evolve, it would be cool to get psychic potential or something.

Mmmm, psionics. That way I would feel justified, and not the least bit guilty about evolving a race of creatures with a massive melon of a head, yet tiny shrunken body. Sure, to move they have to drag their gigantic brain box around behind them, (I think it'd be quite funny), but if anyone messes with them, BLAMO! Knock 'em out of the park with a psionic blast.

It'd be nice to have some magical powers of some type.

Running from a creature, move something in its way, trip up its legs or what not.

Haha, possess creatures, attack with that, maybe your main food source, you could call a bunch of other creatures for a simpler meal.

Actually it'd follow with this whole super-complex creature animation engine, why would they only have a single animation(thrusting) for spears no matter how they're designed? Sure all we've heard about now is spears and tridents, two things that would be used much the sam way, but that doesn't mean there won't be swords, bludgeons, etc.

That is what I asked me, if there are any psionic forces to create or to evolve to some "The Force"-using jedis.
And if these powers could allow you to create some really weird creatures, like for Example ultra-thin greys, or Energy based creatures.
Please forgive my fu**ing bad german English

Now energy based beings is not something I've seen discussed here...

Can't say it's very likely but it'd definitely be different ;D

Spore Expansion, ETA Fall 2007
Spore - The Force
When Will Wright, and George Lucas meet  ;D lol

I definately wouldnt mind something like that, but it looks quite doubtful from here. Who knows, the game might turn out to be as moddable as Lego, and somebody'll make a Star Wars mod for Spore :)

I've never heard of "mods" for Lego. Besides the 1st party ones.

Will it be possible to add third party primitives to the
editors library, or would it be too difficult to work in
with the central databases?
Probably not, they are quite complicated.

-Will

If this is the same thing as modding, then it won't de easy. Please correct me if I'm wrong.
