First PC game I ever played was Starcraft when I was around 5-6 years old.  :)

When I was 8 my uncle gave me a PC with Windows 3.1, a CD-caddy drive, and Doom and Doom 2 (entered through DOS)...oh, and not to mention these sweet speakers with a "Turbo Button" which was essentially a semi-bass boost.

I will never forget the look on my hardcore-Christian Mom's face when my uncle gave me the computer and told me to "hit that turbo button while playing Doom for some bitchin' sound".

Ahh...those were the days. Wow now that I think about it, most people here are too young (and/or spoiled) to know what a CD-caddy is. Make sure and Google it if you don't know...it was a sad day.

Wow, this makes me realize how long it's been since I was an active user here.

wow, this is really making me feel young...

anyways...my first games...

we got our first computer from one of my mom's friends (she was rich and didn't want it anymore) in, i believe, 1998. it was a windows...98.  :D  The first games i remember us getting were one of those 'Catz' games (catz 2 actually), 'after dark' games, and a game with a bunch of non-violent mini-games.

that same year, i got a gameboy color for my birthday, blue-green (or whatever the color's called), along with pokemon blue.

a year or so later, my brother and i got an n64. i think the first game we got was power rangers something-or-other...i just remember beating my brother up as a giant robot

ahhh, such good memories... ;D

after dark was originally a screensaver. Very cool one to.

I can remember Catz and Dogz. It was sorta like nintendogs but only a lot earlier.  :D

i loved putting them in the desktop room, but not before filling it with spray bottles, and dressing them in humiliating outfits.

My first couple of PCs didn't have any CD-Drive at all. My dad used to have a PC with a 5.25" floppy drive. There was one at school with a CD-caddy drive though.  I think the only one the school had was Encarta Encyclopedia, and I was the only person in the school (other than a couple of the teachers) who was allowed to use it 'cos I was the only one who knew anything about PCs! Teachers used to come and get me from my lessons if one of the computers needed fixing (such as when the teacher didn't know how to use spellcheck).

When I was about 6 we had an RM Nimbus at school.  :D
