For those pre-designing species.

Your species might suck in the game actually, and you'd make your species adapted to your planet. Sssoooo What you have is a wish, it might not be very good in the actual game.

Please look at the Miala and their Wiki on the page.

Yah, we know, but:

1) its fun

2) will said he wanted to base the game off the opinions of the masses, or somet like that, and so takes into consideration all of the work he sees. - the game will be based around the creatures people pre-design.

3) will is a member of the forums

4) he has allready taken alot of interest into cirtain creatures

Also allot of us have given thought to how our imagined creatures would move and live, there is a better chance of you succeeding if you set yourself a target and that's not just in spore thats in everything you do.

And besides, the game adapts to your creature. If you are aquatic, then the planet will be mostly water. If you are a herbivore, there might be a greater variety of edible plants. If you planet has a large shaggy coat, then the temperature might be colder. etc.

Well, you will encounter difficulties in the game. Wright said in the recent 1up article that you'll have the ability to go back generations in case your creature's recent changes give them poor fitness.

So while it's true that the game will somewhat adapt to the player, it won't exactly be a breeze...

Well of course. Spore is a game after all. However, at the same time, it will not be made unneccessarily hard because the player prefers to have an aquatic creature, etc.

I would imagine having a aethestically pleasing creature, although not adequately adapted for the enivronment would be up allot of peoples alleys.....it makes the game harder but ultimately in the end more rewarding because they were able to stick to the plan despite the difficulty.

Failing that they can just genetically modify the race in the UFO when they get the ability *shrug*
