Games to see at E3
« on: April 26, 2006, 06:17:03 am »
In Episode 49, Steve asked us to say what we were interested in hearing about at E3. So what games are we interested in?

Personally I'm most interested in seeing CrySIS, CryTeks next game, and it looks truly awesome, the graphics (!), the gameplay, and even the music were very nicely done in the video footage shown at GDC.

E3 is on, and I'm pretty sure Steve is there instead of browsing the forums :D, so I've decided to lock this thread

Theres really no games in perticular I'll be looking for except for Spore. I'm really excited to see what kind of second generation games Microsoft is readying for the 360, and I really cant wait to get all of the details on Revolution. Its less than two weeks away.

Playstation 3 games in general
Revolution games in general (Red Steel!)

yeah Project Offset looks pretty great, I think it's because it's very surreal.. very different from any RPG, I hope they show a bit more of the gameplay..

Really looking forward to seeing Mass Effect.  I'm a big fan of anything Bioware, and this just looks awesome.  And it's a trilogy :O
I'd really like to see some of Star Trek Legacy too, although I wouldn't normally hold up much hope for this sort of thing, it looks like it could be really cool, especially since it goes through all the time-lines.  If I can have a face off with a Galaxy class against an old Klingon bird of prey..  then it HAS to be good.

I'm looking forward to hearing about games that haven't been talked about before. My assumption is that we'll hear about and see many 2nd generation games for the 360 that no one has been allowed to discuss yet.

Yes it was

Woah it was? I'm not a HUGE fan of the game, so I haven't followed much about it. I thought it was going to released, since they had a playable demo at BlizzCon.

The truth is it sucked so much they decided to scrap it. Well, they put it in different words, but you get the point  :-\

I did a google search really fast and found this for you

[Edit]

Now I know were I herd it. On this site, duh

There is to much for me to decide on one thing, so I am just gonna say Capcom.

Matt Cassimissina (sp?) over at IGN confirmed in their latest podcast that Zelda: Twilight Princess will be playable with the Wii controller at E3. Can't wait to hear some impressions.

Besides Spore, I'm really interested in Supreme Commander. It looks like it'll be a fun game.

The rest of my list, using http://www.gamespy.com/articles/703/703245p1.html as a reference:

WoW: The Burning Crusade
The new Indiana Jones game
LOTR Online
Company of Heroes
Dawn of War: Dark Crusade

There's also a number of games on the list I'd never heard of before, so I'm interested in finding out what they're about.

I've been thinking about it, and I think last years E3 will (I know thats the wrong tence, but I couldn't figure out what is) be better then this years. Last year we had the showing of all 3 consoles with games we will see this year too.

I might be wrong, but tell me if you were more exited at the end of this E3 or last years E3

You know what game has vanished off the face of the earth? Prey. That one was looking good but I haven't heard any press about it in months. Maybe it'll be making some noise in a couple weeks.

Check GameTrailers.com, they have the latest Prey countdown gameplay video in HD, I think it looks pretty nice. Check out the latest trailer too, it looks great.

I actually don't want to see Sony change the PS3 controller.  After all the jokes last year, I'd be far more impressed if they stuck with their idea, and proved everyone wrong.  If they come out this year and say "oh, well we were wrong, here's the actual controller.." Then they'll pretty much loose all credibility.  At least, that's how I feel about it.

It is EM -eNCHANT arM-, but it does seem to have been renamed Enchanted Arms, for the Western markets.

Even if they do change it again, it not going to be the old version. I think herd that they stole the old version from some one. Well not really “stole” they just used an idea similar to one someone came up with.

Too bad because the old design was perfect  :-\

For me, this years highlight will be the new content on show for 'Hellgate: London' by Flagship Studios, they have a new character class to show off, and a new cinematic already confirmed... i can only hope a release date will be announced too (but probably not :().

I'm really interested to see what Microsoft are doing with the hardware actually - what plans they have for Live and the marketplace and so on. 360 Live is great but at the moment I think it's too cluttered and obtuse for a massmarked audience to get the most out of it. I'm also holding out to see if they announce a bigger hard drive before I take the plunge and buy the 20GB one.
I wonder if there will be anything about a Microsoft handheld?

Games wise, I'm interested in seeing more about the following:
Rainbow Six: Vegas
Mass Effect
Splinter Cell
Turok!
Viva Pinata
Gears of War
Don't touch the screen!
Rank 4: Elite
Gamertag - El Stev0  |  Last.fm
Overwhelmed, as one would be, placed in my position.

Other than Crysis, I'd love to see these too:

Unreal 2007
Gears of War
Quake Wars
Prey
Bioshock
HL2 Episodes?
A few Wii games perhaps, interesting to see how they all work with that controller
Mass Effect
PS3 games, and the PS3 itself
Alan Wake, but I heard it wont be there..

Yeah an MS handheld would be interesting.. I would consider selling my PSP :D

I'm really hoping to see some updates on Fallout 3. Also, I hope more information on Bioware's Dragon Age will be given.
