The ViS are designed in such a way that we deteriorate after 40 cycles of life (or ViSta years). Since our juvenile phase is short this is 40 years of peak performance in which to fulfil our life goals. Who would want to live with a decaying body and mind anyway.
The whole purpose of the .2 pogram is to allow creativity without damaging the core ViS culture... besides, have you seen the mechs we just developed? Heh heh heh  //
