That reminds me a of a fun story.

A buddy of mine was a falconeer. One day he had a knocking at the door. Two young gentlemen, fresh from the local christian college, had stopped to ask my friend if he had found Jesus. My friend, open-minded (and a bit twsted) invited the two young men in. You could tell that they were somewhat releaved as I'm sure they'd spent the better part of the day spreading the word to slamming doors. He offered the two a beverage and headed them to the basement.

(pause here for a second, folks, my friend was 6'1" about 230 pounds, long curly hair, built like a pro wrestler, and looked more at home on the set of Xena or Hercules than modern society).

Of course the two young guests happily walked downstairs.

(Pause again: in any movie scene like this you'd be going, "Yup, those two will never see the sun again")

Upon reaching the basement my friend replied, "Do you want to know what I worship?" he steps in to the next room and comes right back out with a Red-Tailed Hawk on his arm, points to it with his free hand, and says "This! This is what I worship!" (twisting the arm so the bird would spread his wings to balance).

(The scene is painted, here are two young college kids, sodas in hand, ready to preach what they practice staring down a guy with a near madman's expression holding a bird-of-prey staring at them and flapping menacingly.)

To this day, my friend is not sure if either of those guy's feet touched a single step running back upstairs, but they were GONE! They never did come back. Hope they enjoyed the sodas.

:)

One time I showed a Jehova's witness my math homework and said it was scientific proof that God doesn't exist. My dad backed me up and said he was a physicist and that I was right.

My dad and I have got to be some of the worst Christians ever.

I'm not religious, but I'm not totally athiest either... I'm what you call a 'just in case' christian. ^_^ I'm uber liberal and have gotten into many an arguement with a religious person... I remember this one time last year when me and a few friends went to something at the jr. high purely because the flyer said "Free Pizza!"... As it turned out, it was a trap! ((The Following was copied and pasted from a thread I made on my other forum a year or so ago, so bear with me with some of the stuff... I didn't even really re-read it, it just copied and pasted... ;))
Quote
Today at school a few people that I know were talking about something called "friday night live" where because it was raining they had to move it to the junior high. So a bunch of my friends were going so I decided to go along with them... Well, at 7:00 we got there when it opened, it was me and 2 other people at the time that I knew. We didn't get half way to the cafeteria (free food! ) when 2 guys with shaved heads stopped us, and at this point I realized that they bad Bibles. One asked friend #2 what he believed and started agressively telling him about hell and such. Well, after a few minutes of trying to kind of nudge friend 2 out of danger (this religous guy was aggressive) me and friend 1 just kind of backed out before they started interrogating us too. We wantered around for a while looking for some other people we knew, munching on pizza, when we saw friend 2 about 1/3 hour later, with the big guy blocking off his escape (just standing there, threatening) the other guy was pointing at something in his bible and still talking to friend 2. We eventually convenced them we WERE christians and not going straight to hell in their "hypothetical" situation of us being killed by a "muslim terrorist" (they said that exact thing). We talk to some people, meeting up with a few more friends, and we sit down in some chairs in the hallway. I discover some pamplet/comic books which were freaky propaganda comics. One was making people who believe in evolution look evil (there was a teacher teaching evolution and when a kid said that he believed in creationism and the teacher turned in to like a freakin demon with horns and the works and tried to expel the kid...) and a whole lot of other freaky propaganda crap. Anyway, we were laughing at these propaganda comic books and some more guys with bibles came over, asked us the muslim hell thing, and I just answered they way I knew what they would want so they would go away, but they didn't. I was cornered, two guys, keep saying that I am going to hell if I don't do so-and-so, so I just kind of backed off. Well, after that we assumed that we were safe... no. IT WAS A TRAP! After 2 other guys threatened us with hell (we had just found out the party thing was put on by the church), we decided that we couldn't avoid them, so we would piss them off! The 4th group of guys we made think we were atheists, another group we told we were muslims (after they asked the terrorist muslim thing, lol!) and another group we told we were jews (for some reason, they liked that least of all...) Man, some of them guys were just freaky, but after 10, they all stopped and we could enjoy the crap to do.

one of my favourite religous quotes is
"You can kill for Jesus, Allah, Buddah or whomever you like, but in the end it will be my lord, the Devil, who will hand you the knife"

It is a religion of slavery, much moreso than any other religion. You must completely submit your mind and body to Allah or be damned for it.

Not only that, but the entire religion has no logic to it at all. You would have to be absolutely asinine to believe in it.

From what I understand from some friends of mine who are Muslim, the religion is quite similar to Christianity, except Islam is actually more peaceful. I'm not talking about radical Islam, most Muslims actually have a lot of disdain for the terrorists who "warp the religion to their needs," as one person I know put it. Heck, Islam had a much more peaceful past than Christianity if you ignore developments from the second half of the 20th century onward.

Religion is merely an outlet for humans to worship their God.  Thus, religion is built by humans, is falliable, and is prone to all of the temptaion that normal life is.  Religion cannot be perfect, though lots of people in a given religion believe THEIR religion is perfect and every other one is wrong.  I've found most religions to be mutually exclusive.  When I hear one of the nicest girls I've ever known tell me that over half of the world's population is going straight to hell because they're not Christians, I see the falliability of religion at it's core.  Hence, why I choose to believe in God but not in any recognized way... it's my personal relationship, not the relationship everyone else wants me to have.

Satanism is not about worshipping Satan, its about worshipping yourself.
