It looks very pretty.

I wonder if your base/whatever grows kind of organically rather than sending people to make specific buildings.  it looks too incredibly detailed to for that level of micromanagement.

if it is organic - that kind of thing really appeals to me, as I always want my cities or bases to be so much more than they are in most rts games. And the fantasy/scifi thing gives it a really interesting twist.
It could be frankie. It could be very fresh and clean. It could be a balloon.

Graphics for these games are officially starting to get into the "scary" territory. Between this game and Age of Empires III (and who knows what on earth we'll see at E3) the graphics for these games are simply astounding. Every time I don't think the graphics for these can get any better they do!

YES!!! I've been waiting for a sequel of some sort for Rise of Nations. Too bad its not a revamp of the the first one. Still looks good.

Everytime a new game comes out for PC it just reminds me that I won't be able to play it. My PC is only a year or 2 old and it can't handle the most recent games. I wish games focused less on hardware capability and more on effecient design. At least I still have my reliable consistent consoles...

I have the same. Sometimes I download a demo and I can't play it because it needs a pixelshader compatible graphic card. (I have a crappy mx440 :P ) I like games with good gameplay, the graphics have to be ok, but not photorealistic to be good.

I too an im the same boat, but ina backwards way. I HAD a really nice video card 4xxx Ti something... too angry to remember the details... but it got cooked when I had turned on the anti-ailiasing. So I had to step backwards, can't justify the cost right now... kids gotta eat. Probably best for me rightnow, but it sucks that people put so much in to graphics. I wish they'd work more on gameplay (rather than moron gameplay).

I loved Rise of Nations, and I love the way that looks.  I always liked extreme industrial age stuff.  I hope it is a lot of fun.  I still wonder when we will reach the Graphic barrier.  When everything is photorealistic and rendered in realtime.  That will be great.  Hopefully then we can all stop worrying about upgrading and just be able to play everything that comes out.

RoN was a very bland RTS. This one will probably follow in its footsteps of being a mediocre RTS.

It may sound strange, but looking at the way the graphics are structured inthe screenshots, it almost look more like an upgrade to Dungeon Siege.
