Simply put - we don't yet know. We can but hope whilst we wait for E3, where this sort of thing may be confirmed.

I think I remember GS telling us that they were still deciding what level of detail you could get into.  Though I would like to at least see the creatures playing and what have you after you finish molding their personalities post-tribal stage.

He did mention large scale social interactions. so maybe the will include celebrations depending on if your civilization developed emotionally or logically during triba,l will probably had festive cultured people because he taught them to  dance and gave them tools that made them festive like the medicine man by the table might try a plant and go oh this plant must be special. so maybe your creatures can see the world economically or religiously. they maybe as different as schools and churches.(not saying one is better)

An improvement to the game mechanics themselves in an expansion would suck. An expansion is for gameplay improvements. (IMO)

he's right where has there been a expansion pack based solely on game mechanics and their procedural mechanics could easily work out your creatures type because he said the game tries and learn how you play as you go like your buildings and gameplay so they could definitely work it out will even mentioned that you will develop them emotionally or logically so the social interactions would be based around that

The latest Sims Expansion, Open for Business adds another level of gameplay mechanics.  It is also a gameplay improvement but on the same level as adding in the ability to say create a sport with your creatures in an expansion.

another thing about expansion packs-are they necessary because when your PC
is downloading creatures it may as well downlode fixes at the same time
and spore is open ended so there should be no need for expansion packs

From a business view, if I were a Maxis manager I would release patches and such that way but periodically I would also sell expansions to add in new material to keep people interested in the product and buying new stuff.

what if it can be bought from the game like on the main screen it says patch available you send money he sends you it via the database and you have it.

Effectively that is the same thing.  I see that less likely to happen, or at least they will still have expansions on cds as well, simply because there are people who don't use the internet and/or don't feel safe buying over the net and/or don't have the bandwidth to download an large file size.  Maxis could use that system but I hope they would still be providing in-store expansions as well.

I've always been a fan of micromanagement, so I hope it's really deep for those of us who like it like that, but things can be taken care of automatically for those who don't.
Bored? On the internet? Probably not, but if so, check out my blog.

Why do you think Maxis loves EXP packs, what a load of guesswork

I have over 50 creatures, I only upload my best so each of these should be good. All my creatures work ingame, and are beliveable.
