War music? (Classical)
« on: April 04, 2006, 02:20:13 pm »
Does anyone know any good "War" songs? (I hope you get what I mean) Songs used for war scenes in movies and so on. I love listening to those kind of songs.  ;D

Ride of the Valkyries! It's impossible for me to listen to that song without it invoking mental images of mass destruction and mayhem. Explosions, bombs being dropped from planes and that sort of thing.
There is a method to my madness. That method is in and of itself quite mad, but it is method nonetheless.

Gladiator OST - the song of the first battle ( against the german )
Pirate of the carribean OST - Skull and Crossbones
The Time Machine OST - ending credit ( when the woman choir begin im in nirvana :D )
The Rock OST - theme song
L.O.T.R 2 OST - trailer song ( one of my favorite song )
Han Zimmer -  Glory ( don't remember the movie )
...

if you need more tell me :) but mostly any soundtrack composed by Han Zimmer and Klaud baelt ( dont remember de spelling but its the one that did Pirate of the carribean and time machine ) have a insane amount of "war" song :)

Edwin Starr - War
The Ride Of The Valkyries (great for war games with airplanes)

I used to blast these when I played Battlefield Vietnam. And the great thing about that game is that people can hear the music you play . I remember this one guy who played it's raining men when ever he dropped napalm. Good times

The music in Guild Wars and Oblivion (some of it)  :P. Jeremy Soule makes such fantastic music.

A multitude of rulers is not a good thing. Let there be one ruler, one king.

You can put custom music in a folder and play in game

Yea, but other players were unfortunately not able to listen to it too.
