A piece of good advice
« on: April 04, 2006, 05:19:35 am »
Don't get your hype too high up with this game (In fact, all un-released games). You will start to think that the game will be awesome and that you're able to do anything, well, that's maybe right, but you will be so disappointed if it doesn't complete your list of things you would like the game to be like. The Sims 2 did this for me, and I've only played it 2 weeks or so since I get it 2 days after the release.  :(

i know what you mean.......... but with this game... it's different

the whole prodecuraly stuff within this game is a new way of game development. i don't care if this game will have limits i wish weren't there. it's a new way of game development, spore is introducing. which i hope too see more in the future. (vb. prodecuraly generated villages for RPG + procedural NPC's and Missions...... games will be limitless)

i love the game because it will be the first of it's generation :)

I hate to pee on the picnic, but 'advice' is an uncountable noun  ;)

I agree with the threadmaker, alot of Spore may turn out to be hype, that doesn't make the game :(
Think of BW2. What a dissapointment, because of the hype :( (Which all came from the maker. I'm hoping everything Will says makes it into the game :()
#1 Spore Fan. You better believe it.

Iv come to cope with the disapointments that result from overhype. So no big deal to me.

Spore isn't being overhyped though, that's the thing.  Everything that people talk about and look forward to is already in the game (or at least, in the threads I look at).  Everything that is speculative is stated as a question or quickly shot down by the would-be sheriffs of our community.
