SSB would be great on the DS though i feel it wouldnt be a very good idea to have the touch screen controlling the characters moves in any way as its more difficult for elft handed people :(.

That is a silly idea. You would be able to change the control configuration like in Metroid Prime: The First Hunt.

Don't left-handed people already use the buttons with their right thumb? I fail to see the difficulty in hitting either on the left or right side of the touch-screen with your thumb rather than mashing the buttons with it. I don't know. I tried it out the other night, and it was pretty easy. Maybe I have more manual dexterity than others. *shrugs*

I have seen this idea brought forth in 99.9% of the forums I have gone too that discuss DS based games. Most would agree that it is a good idea, but the question always arises, how can you map the buttons. Personaly, I think that if you make the c stick exist in the bottom screen you can have every button the GCN controllor has. but then again, the c stick isnt realy nessecary is it?

I no i cannt spel

No. C stick was only used for quick power atks (or whatever they were called) so u dont have to sit there charging up an  attack.

c stick isn't needed.  Hell, the developers don't even need to use to touchscreen to get every control down

The DS has no analog control.  SSB needs analog control.

You could do a quick smash without the c-stick, that was just for newbs. Kinda like how there was two ways to jump.I don't think an analog stick is really all that neccesary, I mean none of the moves required you to do weird rolling button combos or anything. The control scheme is simplistic enough for it to work IMO. Couldn't you use the D-Pad on the 64 version. Anyone feel like hooking that sucker up and checking it out?

Oh yeah, you forgot about the shoudler buttons in your photo.

I keep thinking that SSB would be a perfect game for the DS. There are plenty buttons, with A and B being primary and secondary attack respectively, X being jump, the shoulder buttons being shield, and Y being grab. The only problem would be the difference between "gentle" attacks and smash attacks, since the DS has no analog stick.

The two screens should show the main action and an overview of the map, with markers for every player, and dmg % and lives. They should be switchable, with Wi-fi of course, and possibly, up to 8 players if the other 4 are computers. (I.E. up to four human players and up to four computer players together.)

I think it would become the best DS game I have if it did come out.
Yeah, [Kishmond] came back from Africa, but the ponies have him now.

A DS version would make perfect use of a tilt sensor

I think he might be refering to that horrible little thing that jutted from the Gameboy in order to know what direction you are tiliting it. I believe it was for a Kirby game.

I think eight players would be way too crowded and chaotic though, especially on a little 3 inch screen. Four players is perfect.

WarioWare: Twisted also had this. It actually works surprisingly well.
