Yeah, I went to that speech. The Room was crap, just a fancy tech demo. B&W2 looks good ... except that is pretty much the same stuff I saw a year ago, which is not good. The Movies was totally different from what I saw at E3, but I sure hope it comes out before 2007 at the rate he's going.

The interface where you "drop" the actors into different parts of the studio wasn't in the game before E3. I'm not sure if it is in the videos on the site but he said during his presentation that he was playing The Movies one day when he realized that 15 minutes into the game he never left the "management" screen (it was all number crunching). Hence, he decided to completely redo the interface and how you interact with the game. In turn, he showed us the new studio interface which consisted of picking up and dropping the various actors and studio personnel into the areas of the studio that you wanted them to work.

Also other little things here and there were different, but overall the game was quite different from what was shown at E3 last year.

B&W 2 looked horrible.

It looked just like B&W1 with some window dressing to me. OK, they added more toys, but it didn't give any feel to it being a real improvement. Bragging that it took a team of people three weeks to determine the correct properties of the 'poo'? I'll get it in the $10 bin in a couple years.

The Movies - Looks interesting, I guess if the actual movie making part is straight-forward I'll get it. I have no interest in the tabloid/poparazzi/pepperoni stuff.

The Room - Interesting technology demonstration. I'll leave it at that.
