What's On Your Desktop?
« on: December 12, 2005, 09:51:34 pm »
I did this same thing in another forum somewhere in the vast greyness of The Internet, and it was quite popular.

So- what does your desktop wallpaper look like right this very second? No cheating...

(For a while greyness of The Internet was misspelled as geyness of The Internet  :-\)

This is mine: http://www.artwallpapers.net/paintings/rembrandt_van_rijn/03/rembrandt_van_rijn03_800.jpg
Lately I've been looking at the art of Rembrandt van Rijn. I especially like 'The Night Watch'.
My desktop size is 1024x768

I guess it is better to post a direct image of your desktop...

One reason I don't like Mozilla is I haven't figured out how to download files to any other folder besides the desktop. Don't waste time telling me either.

EDIT: Aww, crud, why is it so small?
EDIT2: That's better.

It is a little cleaner than that, but I guess putting it through paint messed it up.

BAM!

I used to have this HUGE and awesome picture of Midgar on it but I had it for a year so I changed it to this.

Here, check out the Midgar Desktop! Nothing beats Final Fantasy VII!

Have you ever tried making a picture of your desktop your desktop background, then putting all of your shortcuts in a folder and lowering the toolbar?

The effect will look like your desktop, but just be a background.

I did that to my English teacher on April Fool's Day.

Yeah I do that at school too...

Why is it that all the teachers can not figure out how to work the VCR or DVD player?

this is mine, I like to have as few as icons as possible. I have patched the .dll file which lets you add your own desktop themes, icons, etc. I also use an application that changes the wallpaper every 10 minutes.

and here is another screenie...

I agree. My history teacher can't figure out how to use the DVD player! Of course, part of the problem is that his TV is written in all Russian (please don't ask why).
