Huzzah for cheap games
« on: April 30, 2005, 10:58:50 pm »
I was at K mart and so Grabbed by the Goulies for $30 being a fan of games by Rare (in case my avatar hasn't given me away)i picked it up and it's a game that will keep me entertained for a while. Still havent seen "it's Mr Pants" anywhere in stores.

I have a friend who got transworld surf on xbox for like $7

Got to love finding games anyone else found some cheap gems?

ICO is one of my favorite games for the PS2, but it didn't really sell well. When I heard of it I went to Fry's and picked it up for $15. I don't think I've sat in front of my console for longer periods of time throughout the day before or since. ;) Also, Psychonauts is out for XBox, PS2, and PC. the console versions are about $50, but the pc version is only $30 at the places I've looked. I'm also thinking of getting Riddick: Escape from Butcher Bay for my pc... which is only $20 now.

 ;D

Am I the only one who noticed that many of Rare's characters are comming from diddy kong raceing for the nintendo 64?

- Banjo
- Concker

both came from that game.

One of my friends said they saw another character appear in a gba game

Well actully banjo and Conker were both already in development when diddy kong racing was announced If my memory serves and both games went throgh a few of rares famous release push backs before they made it to console. Of course Conker going through the biggest change starting out as a game where you had to collect umbrellas and unicycles stuff like that to the foul mouthed toilet humor game we know and love.

Riddick: Escape from Butcher Bay was great. And you can pick it up new for the Xbox for $20 as well.

And Cobra, not to make you feel bad but you might want to check EB Games or Gamestop and their used games section from now on as I saw Grabbed by the Goulies for just $14 used. Personally I always buy used games when I get a chance as they are always (or nearly always) tested to make sure they work. And even if you have a problem they will take the game back no problem.

I used to never buy used games, but once I started I never stopped. I don't buy used PC games since they aren't always in the best shape, but console games ... always.

Actully I been planning on heading down there to look at 2nd hand N64 games see if i can pick up banjo - kazooie as i used to have it before my house was robbed and I been listening to old B - K music and it made me feel all nostolgic.

Really? Looks like I'm going to have to pick it up sometime. Of course, I'll have to buy a new N64 controller while I'm at it. (Those N64 analog sticks sure wear out over time.)

Well, if you like platformers. I love platformers, they are probably my favoriate game genre, and I love this game. I actually played it all the way through twice (which I never do) and I think it's Rare's best game to date. Great level design, tight controls, crazy themes, and insane monsters. And the two leads, Banjo and Kazooie, are really funny. Just a great game.

I heard a rumor that they're going to make a new Banjo Kazooie game for the Xbox 360, which I hope to God is true.

I love platformers, 2D and 3D. I've read that it's a lot like Super Mario 64, but a lot more polished, with more moves and stuff to do.

I absolutely loved SM64 (you would have had to to force yourself to get all 120 of those freaking stars, like I did. 100 coins in Tick-Tock Clock anyone?). I guess I really ought to check out Tooie and Kazooie.

I actully went and baught a 2nd hand B-K today maybe I can redeem myself for cheating 1st time I played it and yes it was just as good as a remember and some parts better such as grunty taunting me as i travel through out the hub world and grunty's rythems man I kind of missed the fact they stopped her from doing that in tooie (lazy buggers). At least now if stop-n-swop ever gets released i can access it again.

I got KOTOR from Wal-Mart the other day for $20... probably could have bought it cheaper, but I figured it was a good find anyhow. I've pretty much continuously played for the past 5 days... I feel so sorry for Manaan.
