That about covers it.

lol.

What about indifferent? Where they find out but they really could care less because they are all involved in their own social issues and problems.

"Oh that was you who did that? Big woop. We uplifted 10 planets already sicne you have been gone"

That when we'll blow the trumpets and celebrate Judgement Day. And oh yea, confiscate the 10 planets.

I'm guessing they'll continue worshipping you. Game's probably not that smart...

How could you even say that now?!?!?

The reference is to the Spathi in Star Control (especially the second one), by the way.

We must defend Spathiwa from the ULTIMATE EVIL!

I loved the way they said ULTIMATE EVIL!
Sam is basically right, he's just cranky.

I think making yourself appear godlike to an emerging civilization would allow you to influence them to have a culture more like your civilization, and thus be friendly to you once they reach space-age. Whether or not you can pull it off would probably be up to player skill.

It's a great cookie.. tastes nice and all.. Coincidentally, it happens to be just the right size for throwing at monsters, so it might as well be a life-saving-device!

A cookie life-saver?  Well that just boggles the mind.  Next thing you know, we will be seeing chocolate ship hard candy cookies.

i'm just going to mention one more time Holstein Cow's idea about a monolith that turns the species into a subservient slave race.  because really, if it can make them sapient, it can turn them into neurologically hard-wired servants for your species.
I have been told
not by one but two of my lovers
that I've got a heart of gold
but I'm unable to share it with others
They call me a poet who'll never have a poem
a tiger with no taste for bone
I'm the wonderful wonderful wizard who's waltzing alone
