Topic: I'm getting good vibes from this... AKA Spore Graphics

This is more or less directed at those with reservations about Spore's graphics. I say, look at the texture detail in this:

Maybe, but still, we couldn't see a well detailed picture before that

I only hope this level of detail is in the final game.  I have seen too many games who publish high-res versions of their environments/characters that end up being much poorer quality in the final game.

It might well be for all we know. But I would expect artwork to feature less noticeable divides between the body and the attachments, that is, the grasper, the feet, and the mouth and antennae. It's also consistent with the few high-res in-game images we've seen of the creature.

judging by the different level of texture between the tail and the grasper I'd say that I doubt it, because that'd be something you would keep consistent if it was artwork, the creature still has a slightly 'component' about it

quite so the "bits" have smooth textures the body has "textured" textures and by hell it looks good. I saw and I Believed!

you can also sorta, vaguely tell that the pattern is spread over the shape of the Willosaur!
This shows how its probably real!

  I like that! It's a very good picture. I can't decide whether he;s looking at us with a 'who cares' attitude or is contemplating clawing our face off with the grasper-tail. Either way, it's nice to see him close and motionless so that we can see how he's been put together.
