The one thing I liked the most in one of the slideshows was the slide with the attached notes about the moving moon, changing colors for what I presume to be a day-night cycle and ofcourse the detailed look at what the editors might look like. Ofcourse this isn't how it's going to look, because it's very different from what we saw in Will Wright's earlier presentation, but it's nice to see some hi-res screenshots of the various parts..

Oh, and I agree: seeing the Willosaurus in high resolution was a nice 'woah' moment!  ;D

This text was in the first one, so in the final presentation, there will be at least one more official picture

But I thought the following was especially interesting . . .
Quote
How are you going to find stuff in Spore?

Buddy Lists
Style Groups
Collaborative Filtering
Store, find, sort, annotate

So we'll be able to put Forum-mates on a buddy list in game!
and . . .

that to me is really good news, we'll be able to have buddies, I wonder if there could possibly be an in game chat too.. that would awesome!!

That would be pretty awesome. A buddy list to see who's online, and chat with them while you play. Trade creatures back and forth, or just send funny screen shots.

all they were saying in the presentations that they don't know when it will ship, so it sounds like they are close enough to done to say about shipping.

as for the part about the creature editor where they say that Maxis has a history of releasing tools pre-release and thats where they have place creature editor screenshot here, that is huge evidence that they will release a creature editor!! :) dunno when though, summertime maybe.

Do note that the "Brief History of Spore" in one of the presentations had a time-line that went on until March 07.

the editor being a prerelease would be the most awsome moment in awsomness - Side note, it seems like at least one of these slides is meant to be viewed with certain videos as well, do you think that they'll release them after the lecture?

I think thats just the way they did the graph, makes sense to me to extend the graph to a year from now to show the scale.

Is this implying that Spore will release the creature editor before the game was released? Like they did for the Sims 2 with the Body Shop or Sim City 4 with the Terrain Editor?
