Long podcast. Whatever, I'll listen to the hole thing anyway...I'm kind of bored now.

Definantly not a fan of the Quietvision, but it was still audible. :)  Another good podcast.

A quick question, since you seem to have a thread in Blizzard;  Do you know if Blizzard's RTS team is still working on seperate projects or have they been folded into the WoW team?  I'm pretty sure they're still seperate but some confirmation would be nice. :)

I tried to boost the volume even though I was a bit quiet in this one. Also, compared to all other podcasts I have listened to mine are usually much louder on average (which I do on purpose when I balance the audio).

The options were I could do the podcast late Friday night and be quiet or I could do it Monday afternoon and talk in a normal voice. So I did what I could. Next week should be fine...

The WOW and RTS teams (and other teams) are more or less seperate. There has always been a little bit of crossover (i.e. when they were making Warcraft 3 everyone in the company did map designs) but they are mostly seperate. And North has nothing to do with Irvine at all.

Great job, once again. Here's some comments:

First of all, I really wonder about the Revolution having touchscreen controllers. I think the image people are conjuring up is some sort of controller that has a big screen on the front, where the developers for the game could customize where they want the buttons and all that. However, can't touchscreens only register one input at a time? Which means, if they want to utilize more then one button, (hopefully Revolution isn't a whole generation of Kirby Air Ride's) then they would need to make a different touchscreeen for each button. Which totally defeats the purpose. (But I could be wrong...I'm not entirely sure if that's true.) Personally, I think the rumor about gyroscopic controllers seems a little more plausible. And more "Revolutionary" considering they've already done a touchscreen system.

I really want Psychonauts. It looks absolutely awesome, and with Tim Schafer at the wheel, it has to be good. It looks like a game with the charm and wit of the Adventure games he worked on, but with gameplay that's actually fun. Whee.

I'm wary about getting the Minish Cap...sure, it looks awesome, but I just loved A Link to the Past so much, that I'm worried that I'd be dissapointed. The difficulty kind of turns me off. I don't necassarily mind a shorter game, but it can be kind of annoying. (Like The Wind Waker...I don't think I died once during that entire game.) ALttP was very hard, and quite long. I remember seeing the credits roll by the first time I beat that game. I think I had died like 500 times. Heh. Anyway, I'll probably end up picking up tMC anyway, since I'm a fan of the Zelda games.

Oh, and definitely do a Retro Review of Mario & Luigi: SuperStar Saga one of these weeks. Awesome awesome game.

Heh, I really need to pick up KotoR. The only problem is, I don't know if it'll run on this computer. It has the right specs, but I've read that it has problems with this particular machine. Maybe I could rent it somewhere, just to try.

Anyway, good job again. And congrats to The Evil Blob.

Nice stuff. I posted another one of my long comments in the news post.

I wish I was "in the industry" so I could go to E3. My friends have been all fired up to go to E3 because they figure that rule about "only those in the industry are allowed" is just posted to deter people. Egh.
So, now they all want to go on some lame road trip. I'm not going. I doubt even they will.
Besides that, good going getting a pass to E3.
I'm sure you're already going to be looking into Spore there, plus every other thing anyway, but since you asked... keep an eye out for Metal Gear Solid 4 for me. According to what I've read, they've been working on it since before they released MGS 3. I ask this particularly, even though everyone else will probably cover it to death, there's a certain satisfaction hearing it from someone directly, rather than some scatterbrained IGN/Gamespot/whatever reporter who likes racing games above all else. Yuck.
Also, they usually just LOVE to make you pay for exclusive crap. Usually not text, but whatever.
And of course, you have fun. I'm sure it'll be a blast.
Something big always happens...

Cripes. It's too damn hot today. I'm going outside.

I have enough faith in nintendo so safely say that I do not belive that they are getting a touch screen controler. You need to feel the button being pressed. Otherwise it doesnt feel natural.

I would also like some tips about getting into the game industry as a game designer or programmer. I've had this dream since I was 11, yes, 11.  ;D

Yeah, I plan to talk about this a bit more in my next podcast. I don't want to be a "downer" when I talk about this topic, but it is really hard to get into the industry. Really really really hard. And it doesn't pay that well on average. And the hours are extremely long. And job security isn't that great. But other than that the industry is great!

I'll talk about it more next podcast.

That's just something everybody in the industry says to keep people out so they can hog all the fun. You know it's all kiddie pools and candy bars.

Woohoo!

$10 gift certificate to Amizon!

By the way, Steve, is there any way that you could prove to my skeptical mom that you're not a child molester?
Why do you park on a driveway and drive on a parkway?

Child molesters would just molest children in their neighborhood, and not find random people on the internet from halfway across the country to molest. Seriously, you have more to worry about from your next door neighbor then somebody on the internet.
