Fire Emblem
« on: April 22, 2005, 07:52:02 am »
With the new game coming out in a few weeks I figured I would start a new topic. I really like the original game, my only gripe was that all the battlegrounds and backgrounds sort of looked the same after awhile. But the new one seems to fix that big time! Here are some cool screenshots to hold us over (can't wait!)

Looks like there is new classes and you can choose which 'path' to change into now. Monsters now, not just bandits and soldiers :D Huh, and in that one screenshot, 'Myrrh' has 56 damage!!! and 20 critical!! GAH. Now my drool is all over my keyboard.

You mean the dragon bwl? or the mage? dragon was cool, such freaking high damage and hp's.

Got the new Fire Emblem couple days ago...Is it just me, or is this one harder? I keep getting owned...well, that's not quite true, but I'm having terrible luck. Missing with 92% and getting criticled by enemy soldiers that have a 1% chance. Ouchies.

Overall though, seems bloody good. Liking it Steve?

Yeah, I'll probably review it in my next podcast. It's pretty good so far, and I like fighting monsters big time.

I just got the first Fire Emblem today. I posted on some forums, and it seems like the general consensus is that FE7 is a bit better then FE8, and a better place to start for a newcomer to the series. (Well technically there's only two choices for us Americans, but hey.) Heh, if I like it, I'll probably end up getting the Sacred Stones as well.
