The Leechbat!?
« on: March 18, 2006, 11:23:31 am »
Unofficial name. Anyway...

If you've ever seen the old kung fu move "Master of the Flying Guillotine", well then this is a creature form of the famed weapon.

It can walk/climb with its claws, in order to move to higher places. From there it can take flight in a gliding/flying type action, where it uses it's single eye (which is on it's "stomach) to look for suitable prey. If it finds a creature, it will drop onto it's head by expanding it's mouth, and then contract it's mouth to sever the head cleanly off the neck. , or else it will consume the head and drink the rest of the victim through the hole in neck. Because of it's unique feeding style, it usually can only thrive near humanoid creatures, but it can also live by eating small rodents or birds, or using it's mouth in flight to catch insects (similar to a whale).

To demonstrate, I included a picture of it feeding on a gorilla looking creature.

it looks like one of those Mynocks from Star Wars: Empire Strikes back (may have been A New Hope, I forget which one) where the Millenium Falcon goes inside a space slug and theres all these wierd flying things sucking at the windows and hull of the ship.

Lamarr was Dr Kleiner's de-beaked headcrab.

Oh because it was Lazlo's pet leech which had babies and then everyone got leeches.
