The Monka-lo
« on: March 18, 2006, 07:42:24 am »
First off you'll have to forgive the unimpressive drawing, i don't have any fancy photo shop to do the fun stuff that hydro does...just a simple paint program.

Anyway, this is something i came up with at work, its the Monka-lo. The monka-lo's are a peaceful race now. Centuries of war have cause their atmosphere to become poisonous so all monka-los have resparators attached at birth. The main focus of the post war monka-lo is to promote peace and understanding in the galaxy. Thousands of monka-lo missionary ships have been sent forth to preach the new cause. The whole society is centered around this galactic mission and cities tend to center around gigantic temples of understanding. Even though they are a peaceful culture they still practice the art of war in a philosophical manner. They're defensive weapons are truely impressive as no other species has ever landed aggressively on the planets surfface.

Whats under the cloak? Something horrifying?

Interesting idea... I will watch it with interest.

Here we have the early stage of land monka-lo. Early in its evolution monka-lo's were herbivores, using their sloth like fingers (fig 1) and long tongues (fig 2) to get at desired plants.

Thanks! Means a lot that people like it. Heres the next saga.

Soon after the Monka-los reached their most primitive stage of civilization they switched from an all plant diet to one consisting of meat. This radical change upset the monka-los newly achieved brain and caused the once dolcile creature to turn violent. Centuries of fierce battle tore the landscape up as rival monka-lo clans fought in a blood crazed war. Generation after generation knew nothing but bloodshed and the monka-los body began to develop for the sole purpose of fighting. This would have continued till the species was extent till the moment of balance.

Next Chapter: The comming of one.

ps: please excuse the cheesy background..it needed something more then just white  :P

Looks like someone decided to shove a flagpole through his head.
There is a method to my madness. That method is in and of itself quite mad, but it is method nonetheless.
