Wait, I think I misunderstood. They are going to call the game, "Forerunner"?

I thought it was going to be "Halo: Forerunner" or something like that. It seems much more likely to me.

Yeah, the rumour says it's just Forerunner, but as I've already made clear, I really don't see that happening.
Even if they hyped up the name change, there would still be people who have no idea it's a sequel to Halo.

The project for Halo 3 is code named Forerunner. Dolphin project was a code name for Gamecube. Its like that. it's to help keep leaks from spreading but since the code name was leaked it doesnt help much so knowing how tight bungie can get they prolly are calling it something else by now.

*edit* changed blizzard to bungie  its all the same

Forerunner isnt a good code name for halo. The Forerunners were the race who built halo, any halo fan boy whould know what it is if the code named it that

its only to help not compelety dumb found everyone that would see the name forerunner.  its a lot better than calling it halo.  i have no idea why they chose to make it that name.  one of gamingsteve's pod cast said it was just a code name for the title
