Well here is how I see it, if I say something I lose and if I don't say anything I lose.

So I'll say as little as possible and not make a total ass of myself like 789.

I would feel guilty sad and angry at your post, but that smiley face is just so darn cute!

I've been going back and looking at the first posts in the Console Games section recently.

It's funny to read these posts from mid-2005 and see people declaring the 360 a failure (half of these people now have Xbox Live gamertags in their sigs!), declaring Sony the winner, having no idea what Nintendo is up to, etc.

I thought the 360 was pretty weak/stupid too at that time! It wasn't until that special NYC event that Steve went to in September when I reconsidered.

Looks like it isn't so crazy.

I still think it's a failure and in case you people didn't notice, it is until it turns a profit.

Give the platform another couple of years. It's still growing.

If it still has a stalled install base that isn't making a profit two years from now, then we can officially write it off as a failure.

But when I referred to people who were saying Xbox 360 would be a failure, I wasn't referring to a commercial failure, but a failure to deliver good games in comparison to the PS3. That, for most, has turned out to be largely untrue.

And besides, I know that there is no great satisfaction for Bill Gates than to see a happy tween swearing into his mic in an intense match of Halo. No doubt in my mind that when Bill sees this image, those...$4.5 billiion in losses just flush away. :)

I got my 300th topic!

**EDIT**
If you want to see it you can find it here. It's not a crappy spam topic, I really wanted to make something of use. It is an album review for The OneUps Volume I, a collection of remixed and remastered video game scores. If you you into video game music or just like music in general you should read it, this album is really good for anyone, not just video game fans.

I remember that. What a guy!

Well Pat, considering that there are 358 occurences of that, and the forum has existed (so far as I'm concerned!  :D) for two years, that happens roughly every other day.  :P

The trick is catching it at the right time.
