I saw it and really enjoyed it except that I thought the director/narrator was much too omnipresent. I really hated the parts where he was interjecting his opinions and sort of dramatizing things unnecessarily. Timothy Treadwell was a fascinating person--Werner Herzog? Not so much.

I read a review... it sounds hilarious... but also pretty sad.
Sam is basically right, he's just cranky.

I actually just saw that last night.

It was.....something.  When I had first heard of the movie I had not seen any pictures of it or anything.  Got it from Netflix thinking the guy would be a Grizzly Adams sort of guy.  Man, was that way off.

I saw it twice in the theater. it's great how at first you thinking wow this guy is pretty cool and he's doing a good thing and only a little wacky. The you realize that he's mostly crazy. And the director did bug me at times "this is a metaphor, let me spell it out for you..." ugg and another good one "do you consider yourself his widow?" ::)
I need a new tag.

It was a pretty crazy documentary... I still can't believe how crazy that guy was....

But yeah, I gotta agree the whole "widow" thing got my head shaking and my eyes rolling...  ::)

Way to copy LoreAlmighty. Funny.

No I haven't seen it yet either. I mean to when I get a chance. That's pretty crazy that he had no training, he just decided to live with bears. Sounds like something I would've done a few years ago.

Wow, this makes me realize how long it's been since I was an active user here.

I have seen it and have to say he's kinda obsessed with bears and foxs. Its a great movie and all but I just think Timothy Treadwell is a very sensitive person.
