So, do you think the game will be as in-depth as that? I've read people talking about genocide and making planet specific or species specific viruses. This would be SO much easier if, say, you were silicon based and the rival species was carbon based.

Any idea if this is a possibility? (I know absolutely no one knows this answer, but I like speculation. =P)

As I have said in other threads on similar topics, it is entirely up to the player to decide for himself. It makes no difference to the game.

Carbon is needed for all life whether it is on Earth or not.  Carbon is one of those universal things.

Oh I saw your point, but i think the game is more based off of making a creative living thing and playing with it.  It's in both creativity and life, so to get the better of both worlds, carbon would be needed.

That would exclude creatures that are silicon-based, methane-based, or narrativum-based. Ergo it would limit creativity. Ergo, it should not be included in the game.

Methane isn't even an element.  And silicon is the same as carbon, but is less able to sustain life like carbon does.  And what is narrativum?
