Final Fantasy VII

Yeah it may sound crazy but I have played it since it came out and it NEVER EVER gets old!

Yeah I am a FFVII fanboy if you ever met one!!!

Anyway, I always install it first when I reformat and usually load up some nice mods to make some improvements and have a blast.

Actually I could probably go for a round right now...

 :-*

Sadly though, my first disc finally died on me.... so I have to go buy it again.

The PSOne version no longer works and the PC version no longer works.

They will be sealed in a environmentally controlled room until a cure can be found.

Pray with me people.

Final Fantasy VII
Can totally agree with this one.  The game, in a strange sort of way, feels like home.  It was the first RPG I played that ever had good graphics, not to mention there was so much to do.

My fallback game would have to be Halo 2.  The only problem is generally I'm getting on to play really late (like 2am) when the friends list is dead and have to submit to the brainless 13 year old minions that XBL inspires.  No worries though, it's still a blast.

Fall back games - one's that I still play from time to time:

Startcraft
Diablo 2: LoD
Counterstrike: source
The Sims
Atari Flashback or Intellivsion Lives
NFL 2k5
NHL "Hitz" 2k4

My new "game on the side" is going to be Baldurs Gate 2 - once I get it back from my friend.

I'm not sure if I have fall back games. I get a craving to play an older game again every once in a while but the craving passes after a few days or so. I have games that are part of my routine rotation but I'm not really coming back to them and my rotation changes every so often.

It's been UFO enemy unknokw and Jagged Alliance for years,
nowadays I tend to fallback on the Live games such as Zuma and Geometry Wars.

Oh yeah, I forgot to mention Mercenaries. It's got all the elements of a good fall-back game. Mindless explosions, hijacking vehicles, reckless driving, armed helicopters, good cheat codes... Ah, the memories. It really is the 15 year old's GTA.
