All the free MMORPGs I have found
« on: April 04, 2005, 02:43:49 pm »
I have found 2 good free MMOs on the internet they are

1. Runescape.com-- Can give you many hours of lvling a ton of skills. But after you reach lvl 60-70 you wont have much to do without becomeing a member ($5 a month) All skills go up too lvl 99 A very large community

2. http://www.conqueronline.com/index.html-- A much less known game that has a lot of fun activities. Including giuld wars. It can be challenging to find a good download. ( I found one that took 15 min but some could have taken 34 hours)  Once you get past that hurtle it is alot of fun. You can play up too lvl 130, but at lvl 115 you have the option too become "reborn" in witch you can start at lvl 1 with new more powerful skills

Im not playing runescape anymore but you can find me on the triumph server in conqueronline. My name on both accounts is bwl2

Want to try a crazy free MMORPG? Have you ever tried The Kingdom of Loathing? It looks really simple, but keep at it, the game is a lot deeper than it looks.

Well, depending on who you ask, it could have two meaning:
Multi
User
Domain

or
Multi
User
Dungeon

Basically, its a text-based MMORPG, that vary wildly in the way the game is played and can be anywhere from a roleplaying ST game to a level, class, ability based DnD game! anything is possible with hundreds of different games to choose from, some with an average of 10 or less on at a time, some with hundreds on at any given moment.
The Sky's the limit. ;D

Achaea is a fun (and deep!) MUD.  Look at the Features page for more information.

As Steve said, KoL is pretty involving as well.  It's a funny RPG, which is quite refreshing.

Anarchy Online has a free version you can download and play. I didn't really care for it all that much, though.

Kingdom of Loathing was very good for a while, but I got a little tired of it. The humor is very good, and it's very much like my own style.

Planeshift is a free MMORPG, it sounds pretty promising.

Sadly my old Comp has probs running it.

Yeah, the pacing of the game could be better. It seems to take just a little bit too long for new areas and monsters to open up to you. If it went a bit faster I think it would make the game a better experience.

But I usually play it for a few days, get bored, stop playing, and then play again a few weeks later. It plays well like that. It's at least worth a try.

Thats what I do. But thats also the reason I avoid paying monthly fees if I can get a game thats almost as good.

By the way, is playing a private server of a pay to play game ilegle? Becuase I have been playing one for Lineage II, and I hope Im not breaking any laws...

The other reason I play free 2 play is becuase Lineage II has a horible lvl grind and the free server makes it literaly 10x easyer to gain exp. (which needly to say still makes the grind bad at higher lvls)
