yeah. that and the confederate rockets episode are probably my favorite. it was so cool when it exploded, and they all felt the shockwave from several kilometres back.

How is that a myth there like 500 videos of that on you tube. Sounds more like Jamie and adam wanted to make coke rockets. Then again they were clearly steaching when they built that rocket pack with instuctions off the net. Not so much a myth as somethign jamie and adam just wanted to do. Not that i am complaining.

Yes, that’s what they wanted to do. They even said that they know it's true. All the did was find out what the real reason why it worked, and then try and have some fun with it

Exactly. That episode is actually one of my favorites. Or at least that part of the episode. The stamp-on-the-helicopter was kind of boring in comparison. Of course, how could it compete with a Flaming Pillar of Doom?

Mythbusters always have a few myths that they test that you want to hear about and a few that just waste air-time in every episiode.
The beatings will continue until morale improves

And by "waste air-time" you really mean "make excuse to blow stuff up"

I have to say my favorite episode was the "Ultimate Mythbuster" special. The one where Adam and Jaime were both put through tests to see who had the best judgement skill in building and puzzle solving, lack of phobias, and pain tolerance.

The pain tolerance test was paintball guns. They each take a shot then move closer. First to quit loses. It was also a testament to Jaime's skill and accuracy. He hit Adam in the same place ( belly button ) over and over again. Adam hit Jaime's cup twice. Adam ended up calling it and taking the loss.

The tortillia thrower they had to build was pretty good too. They both had ingenius methods to solving the problem. The egg drop was just a bust as Jaime thought his way out of it. He used all the materials to create a makeshift rope to lower the egg closer to the ground before dropping it while Adam actually devised a small package to survive the whole drop. It proved that Jaime had the better thinking.

Even though Jaime won the episode it showed that without Adam things would be boring. Everything Adam was involved with in the episode was thoroughly entertaining for one reason or another. Its them as a team that really drives the show.

That and the build team has its own dynamic now. I still dont like the young guys as much as I do the seasoned vets. You gotta hand it to Jaime and Adam, they could whoop Kari, Tori, and Grant anyday.

Although Kari has been involved since the 1st episode really you see her standing around in the backgorund of the pilot episode with the rocket car. I don't know how much involvement she actually had but she was there.

Kari has been there since the very first test pilot. She however is nowhere near a seasoned vet like Adam or Jaime. They have years more experience than her and are what you call "experts" , Do Not Try This At Home.

I just slipped into their little show warning intro there. Oops.

She helps them now and then when they need an extra pair of hands. I remember when they did the myth of the guy jumping off the top of a building holding plywood over his head, and being pushed back into the building at a lower level. They were trying to build their own gliders, and Jamie was trying to get his set correctly (lots of glue and carefully bent, thin pieces of wood), and they just wave Kari over as if she had been there for the whole time. There was also another time when they had Grant do some research, and he gave his findings on camera, but that was for a different myth. Both cases were before they started using a second team.

I like watching the younger ones, but you're right Talkc, they don't quite compare to Jamie and Adam.
