The Esrever Designs.
« on: January 30, 2006, 11:03:31 am »

Evolved from a plant-eating quadroped, this creature is currently in a tribal stage. Although they are strict herbivores, they did invent weaponry for defense against predators. They average 2.5 meters (About 8 feet I think) tall, with the tallest specimens being  3.6 meters tall (About 11 feet).
They have one big eye, which doesn't have a eyelid. To protect it against damage, the eye is made of an almost ceramic strength translucent material. The eye doesn't move, but it's retina is divided in two sections inside the eye. This helps the Esrever to focus and see depth. The mouth can't be seen from here, because it is located on the back of the creature. This is because in a earlier evolutionary stage, when the creature walked on all fours, the mouth was located on the belly of the creature and the eye on the back (I will add an illustration later to explain). In that way the Esrever could eat anything that was beneath it, while having a 360 degree view of it's surroundings.
At one point in time, the Esrever began standing upright. This allowed the eye to see more clearly and in focus on what was around. This upright stand probably evolved out of a habit of constant eating of treebark, which forces the creature to stand up.

(More details will follow soon)

It looks creepy! The evolution idea was smart though.

A multitude of rulers is not a good thing. Let there be one ruler, one king.

The name certainly suggests that it is a backwards creature.
Use those talents you have. You will make it. You will give joy to the world. Take this tip from nature: The woods would be a very silent place if no birds sang except those who sang best.

UPDATE:

Cavepainting Mystery.

This cavepainting was found somewhere south of the Esrever's planet major tribes. Analysis have shown that the cavepaintings are 50 million years old. The relatively pristine condition of the cavepainting is due to the excellent perserving conditions existing on the planet (DNA material as old as 200 million years old have been found).
This cavepainting is as old as the fossil findings of the ancestors of the Esrever, making it an actual image of the Esrever ancestor. Ofcourse, this must've been done by a intelligent creature 50 million years earlier. There is however no fossil evidence of an intelligent creature on the whole of the Esrever's planet. This will be investigated further.

As mentioned above, the Esrever's planet perserves fossils extremely well. Therefor, a highly detail report of the Esrever ancestor can be made.Furthermore, any "facts" that are said in the rest of this article is highly speculative, but possible true.

The Esrever's ancestor as earlier said walked on all fours and was a plant eater (For all purposes, the ancestor of the Esrever is further refered to in the article as the Esrever). The Esrever had one big eye on top off it's back so it had a 360 degrees off it's surroundings. Strict herbivores, Esrevers intestins digest allmost every bit the Esrever eats to get the most out the plants. This is so efficient, the Esrever does not have an anus. The eye of the Esrever contains high levels of silicium oxide, giving it it's ceramic strenghth. The eye at this evolutionary stage is however still quite flexible, but for all purposes it was indigestible to predators.

Due to the high amount of silicium oxide, it's suggested that the Esrever eated sand in quite large quantities. This is however neverá seen. Esrever's did not have many predator's to worry about, since the Esrever is quite indigestible to most creatures. There was however at least two predators that actively hunted the Esrever. Esrever's therefore moved in herds.

HERE you go!
I had fun redrawing this one, did several different ones, and found this one to be the most believable. Hope you like it so i can color it and post it with my other drawings on sporewiki/planet.
