Requests...
« on: January 28, 2006, 05:15:23 pm »
I\'m doing an english A-level, and need to beef up my creative writing, so I\'ll be granting any requests posted here, whatever they are ;-)

Well, I was thinking of something I could fit in a post, so it will have to be a short story ;-)

Very well: chapter I: The Vampiric Otter

A boat left siberia, carrying a consignment of neuclear waste; although the hull was badly rusted, and had no safety checks, they left port anyway. The contriversial departure ruffled the first mate into discussion with the captain;

\"Why are we leaving port early? This is not safe!\"
\"Pah! Do not be silly, Boris! This ship has been through a hundred voyages, and has been fine on all of them!\"
\"But sir, do you not think...\"
\"No, not ever!\"
\"But...\"
\"LOOK OUT! ROCKS AHEAD!\"
\"Oh boll--\"

The ships hull was easily breached, its radioactive paylod leaking into a small stream, where an otter lay, sleeping...

First draft, worthy of continuation, or does someone else have a better topic? :)

HubbaWHA? You've never heard of Chuck Norris and Mr T? Next thing you're going to tell me that you've not heard of Martin Luther, Julius Caesar, or even God.

Chuck Norris:

umm, ok.  a day in the life of an average member of an isolated human society inhabiting a huge array of space stations orbiting a red dwarf star.
I have been told
not by one but two of my lovers
that I've got a heart of gold
but I'm unable to share it with others
They call me a poet who'll never have a poem
a tiger with no taste for bone
I'm the wonderful wonderful wizard who's waltzing alone

Ohh, I like it!

It even has the potential for all my strenghts! (brief sexual encounters, thought-tracking, non-tedious description of tedium)

I find that offensive! It was only a joke!

(Isn't there a rule against that kind of language?)

Yes, there are rules against language and threats. Let's keep the discussion on a civil level. You have to remember alot of the people on the forum have a sense of humor and joke alot. That's what makes it a fun place.
